How about some credit for wade.

I wanna give him credit and then I read this...

Wade Phillips gave the players Monday off. A "Victory Monday" drew a huge cheer from the locker room, able to be heard in the hallways.

Another good decision by Wade. He lets the players recharge and the coaches can review the falcons game and focus on gameplan for seahawks.

I'll give him his credit when he leaves Dallas for making us a better team as soon as he's out of the pictures....hows that?

How many coaches give Mondays after a win off? I am willing to bet all of them.

^ seriously. You want the players to feel like they dont deserve a monday off? and possibly be annoyed with not having one after playing a really good game. These guys have lives too, they want to see their families.

Isn't Monday film day, though?

Tuesday is the day players get off.

As others have already stated,Wade the coordinator did a good job today.Wade the head coach did not do as well, this team lacks focus and it shows in the amount of penalties that plague this team.I don't know what the answer is but Wade needs to find the solution ASAP.I realize Parcells didn't have this team playing mistake free either, but there has to be a solution out there somewhere. The Atlanta scoring drive after the half was due to an offsides penalty on 3rd and 3,no penalty and the drive would have stalled.Mistakes like that can lead to a loss in a heartbeat and hopefully this team will realize that.

The good part about this game is that they won and they won in all phases of the game.Hopefully this victory will breed some confidence that will carry over into the next game. The other good thing about this game is that they made enough mistakes for the coaches to harp on over the week and not let the players feel to good about their effort.

Why don't you just come out and admit your dislike/hatred for Wade Phillips. He can't do anything right in your eyes. Hes soft, takes it too easy on the players, Jerry's puppet, etc...., right?

Wade is not the problem and never has been the problem. I think the problem was the psyche of the team and I think it's turning for the better right now.

IMO, there is no easy answer for stopping the penalities. 2 diiferent style coaches(Parcells andPhillips) could not stop the penalities. What can be done, other than replacing the players that commit the same penalities over and over(We know this won't happen). It it a big problem, that will probably cost the Cowboys a big game again, down the road.

The team played much better today, though penalties are a hallmark of a lack of discipline directly derivative of a puppet at HC.

Put together alot more of these, and maybe we can start to think Wade has a hand in stirring the pot.

Most of the painful penalties were on the offense today.

Wade has the D really amped and you are seeing some remnants of the aggressive gameplans he's been dialing up. I think you will see these decrease as the players become accustomed to playing with the hightened urgency we are witnessing becoming the standard look of effort down to down.

It's what amounts to as defensive "tempo".

I said it before and I'll say it again. The KC defensive effort was superb minus the offsides calls, and today was no different. I know it's frustrating, but it's coming together. Be patient.

like i said before wade is doing a solid job with this defense and it was garrett and his suspect playcalling that worried me. i have to admit garett game planned well today.

the biggest probably i have with wade is not his defense but his leadership qualities at coach.

the team continually looks undisciplined and unfocused. it shows in the penalties we accumulated and silly mistakes we make on the field.

if he gets that rectified im sure no one will have a problem with him, but thats a big if

No thanks

Ditto....When he gets the team playing consistently after 3 seasons, then we'll talk credit...When they disappear for game after game, when the defense doesn't give a sniff of QB pressure and when the penalties stop piling up then we'll talk credit.

I have noticed that with Ware/Spencer flipping sides (Ware attacking from the left, Spencer from the right) that they're able to put better/more consistant pressure on the QB.

Anybody notice Ware's inside move today? THink Haley helped with that? It worked great.

The 2ndary still needs work, especially tackling, especialy Newman. Yeah had a big hit late in the game but its those tackles earlier in the game that matter. Those misses help opposing teams stay in the game.

2 words: GERALD SENSEBAUGH. DARN glad to have him back!!

Who should get the credit for Baby Flosell Adams no "offsides" today??????
and the TEAM win???? Jerry Jones.......? :)

Better yet, Screw WP, screw the cowboys, screw JJ, to hell with the '09 season, turn off the lights, turn off your tv sets and lets wait till next year, when the new messiah arrives............:p:

WP does not, can not, should not- deserve to win no matter what. He's doughboy, fatso, softee and the Cowboys should not put up wins for him for this will give him an image he does not project........:banghead:

It is best the cowboys not win any more games because, unfortunately, if they do win, FATSO will get credit.....and this is just not right!!!!! For if the COwboys win, doughboy will get a new contract.... and the horror will continue...Fatboy getting credit........

I say to hell with wins and lets get rid of this coach once and for all.....

As long as Wade is the head coach of this team i will support him ad the things he does with this team. He gets heat for the penalties this team commits but this team was doing the same thing under Bill

they looked good today losing to the texans though, coming back from an abysmal first half.

Did i just see a moral victory celebration? mean gene singletary's team lost.

Good job by Wade making adjustments after the first drive. Then a late garbage TD, i'll take it. But i know, we win in spite of Wade and lose because of Wade, i think i get it.

Here is my point in many of these threads. These PLAYERS have done this under Parcells, so how can the blame be on Wade?
