How about some positives...

ummmm....let's see, hard to change my currently agonized mindset, but some issues that have LONG plagued us seem to finally be rounding out. Here are my personal top 5...

1. The Tony to Roy connection is FINALLY starting to get better after the last couple of games. HUGE for the next several years. We may not have to draft a WR high next year after all.

2. Doug Free looks to be decent, possibly good. That's a nice surprise, although in this case we probably do still need to look at OL early in the draft next year.

3. Sensabaugh (who needs to get paid) and Jenkins look like a great young couple of secondary players.

4. In general, ST has really stepped up. WAY better than the past several years. If Folk is losing his edge, good kickers are not especially hard to find later in the draft.

5. Tony is playing more mature football in virtually every sense.

and a bonus sixth...

6. The lockerrom chemistry seems right. In a related note, we seem to have some pretty darn upstanding guys on this team.

Losing sucks. We have a good team, it is just too inconsistent for it's (our) own good.

I was especially happy to see the fade to Roy on his first TD...that's a throw Romo has not been very good at, but Roy should excell at. Hope it's a redzone sign of things to come.

Jenkins in time will be an All-Pro. Outside of Ware, he may be our most talented player.

Doug Free has turned out to be a nice surprise, but we still need to draft a true left tackle. Our offensive line is getting older.

What appears to be two blue chip defenders in Spencer and Jenkins. I was wrong about Spencer, IMO starting to turn into a dominant 3-4 OLB. Jenkins has the look of a playmaking corner, something the team sorely lacked.

7. Wade Phillips will be an ex-Cowboys coach by next season.

Can't say I disagree Tyke...hopefully they way overpay him and retain him as DC.

I also agree about Spencer...he is really having a nice season as well.

My main question is...can a change in coaching iron out the maddening inconsistency that seems to be our bane??? I sure hope so.

I also thought there were a lot of positives in the game. I was disappointed the defensive line couldn't get a lot of push, but so be it. Spencer continues to impress me with his hustle. He overran a couple of plays, but he'll continue to get better.

Scandrick was clearly the goat in this game, and frankly, in the past couple of games. How was he even considered equal to Jenkins? There is very little comparison. Newman also made some good plays.

The running game is too predictable. It wasn't the running backs who were bad, the line couldn't block for anything. Barber's fumble was a killer. And did anybody think Choice wasn't going to run when he came in on the Razorback? Garrett needs to start looking around for a job. I can't see Jones keeping him.

The biggest positive for me is that there arent many more games left until we flush this coaching staff down the crapper and start over.

Wade haters be careful what you wish for. I'm not saying he's the best coach ever by any stretch, but be careful what you wish for.
