it's unbearable
after a bad game I won't bother visiting for at least 3-4 days
let the 'cut them all' 'so & so is a bum' 'we suck' threads rotate out

after reading a game thread and watching people on their crazy emotional rollercoasters you will fully understand and appreciate the satire of @Risen Star posts

I remember the meaningless preseason games around here. People lose their minds.

Just this year someone on here was complaining about the play calling in the first pre-season game... lol... smh

Dang, I never got an invite. Was it because I tell the truth in explaining that it was not a catch?
Nobody wants somebody talking sense during a game.. lol... but it was a catch. Just look now. It was a catch.

I did. I was part of making sure it was allowed.
Lol. We never did nothing wrong. Just wanted to post without being drowned out. I was on DC forever. Watched people get so mad when a platform change to the forum would happen and there post count would reset. Post count was a status symbol? Never understood that. I remember one time when the forum platform updated but a certain mod let some of us know we could go to a older web address and still post in a the old version. About 50 of us kept posting there for a long time. Was fun.

I've always thought it would be a good practice to dump all of the threads started during a game and the game thread right after the game ends and give posters a cool down period. It's like Poster Amnesty and forgiveness for getting outside their mind.

If not, it wouldn't be a bad idea for some to practice the "angry business email" method. Write it but don't post it right away, give themselves a few minutes to read and digest what they're writing.

However, one of the services offered here is venting so if a pissed off poster expresses themselves here instead of in front of family, that's a good thing. And I am not being critical of those that need to do that, I used to be the poster child for that. Then I got older and found more to piss me off than a football game played by millionaires.
We need to watch a Cowboys game together. We will fire each other up and calm each other down at the same time. Or we could just drink and eat good food and yell softly at the TV.

Yup. Did that too!!!

There was talk behind the scenes of not letting the those threads keep going. I fought to keep them open.
