How big is next weeks game?

If they have any fuzz on their kiwi's...
This is the game they they have been waiting for since they walked off that field last year. This is the game that should have been replayed in their minds over and over during the offseason, spring workouts, mini-camps, TC, and in the back of their minds during every practice. This "bad-taste" should be taken up to full throttle this week during preparation.
They were humiliated by this JV team last year and they had better want to do something about it.
In my opinion, they haven't done anything good this year until they go into the "stink" and punch philly's teeth out.
If every player on the team (and fan's) don't feel this exact way, then there is no fuzz, and probably no kiwi's.
This bad taste had BETTER still be in their mouths.

My feeling exactly, I just never had the energy to say it.

Not to mention me saying gets me worked up and I'm still guarding my heart when it comes to this team.

No doubt, its a significant game for a few reasons.

However, if they lose the game the season isnt over. GB isnt a juggernaut and while I'm sure it will be a tough game, its one we can win. Do that and then beat doormats Washington and Oakland, and we'd be 8-3 going into December. Philly still has to play at us and NYG, and still has to go San Diego (their next game), plays Denver and at Chicago and Atlanta left too. Their December schedule has 3 tough road games in 5 weeks.

Just like most (I saw most, because we do have some dopes on here who would rather see us lose so they can say "SEEEEE!!!!! I TOLD YOU!!!!!...WE ARE NOTHING!!!!") I want us to win badly, but right behind winning is making a solid showing. If we lost the game but played well and made it a 60 minute game, there's nothing wrong with that, Philly will be favored and is supposed to win. Now if we go there and get smoked, thats a problem and will undoubtedly cast alot of doubt back on the team again.

I think the game against Philly will tell us where this team is at mentally.Either this team will respond to the challenge or possibly collapse like the debacle last year in Philly.

Craig

If the Cowboys get beat, it will be as a result of some last minute heroics from McNabb. They won't get blown out, and they won't give up. Jackson and Macklin do however, scare me.

I still get worked up thinking about it too. Heck, I think about this EVERY day.
I haven't worn anything Cowboys since then. I'm a LOYAL 35 year fan and that loss (& Raven game) hurt me to the core.
I still and always will love them, but they have to earn me back. This game is step one, (solid playoff run the other).
I don't want any wussy thoughts like... "Its OK if we lose this week cause the egirls schedule gets tough and we should beat the blah-blah blah.
F hoping for things to happen. Make them happen.

Glad to see someone else is feeling this so deeply !!
The ONLY this to rid this is their blood on our helmets.

HUGE. Can't go down 0-2 to the NFC East. Not gonna kill the season if you lose but you can't sit here and say Atlanta was a must-win and not say the same about this game when its against a fellow NFC EAst team and you're currently 0-1.

This^^^

Yep this is our first "big game" of the year.

Now people can understand why after many on this board lost it about Romo's "Big Game antics" after the week 2 loss to the Giants, a few of us said it was too early to meltdown on the season.

I disagree. This is our 3rd big game of the year. We lost one (Giants) and won the other (Falcons). How we show in this game will say A LOT about this team.

It will be a glimpse into December and January. Not doubt about it in my mind. We win I think this team is setting the tone, we play hard and keep it close but lose there still is hope, we fold like a lawn chair and the season is over.

I wouldn't say the season would be over, but it COULD be an indicator of a long slow death. The Cowboys are going to be in this thing until week 17. No doubt about it. Unfortunately week 17 presents the ghosts of last season's collapse. I'm not YET sold that this team can surmount the "must win" obstacle.

Besides being a divisional game, against a rival, on prime time, tied for first place, 0-1 in the division while the Eagles are 2-0 and both teams sitting at 4-1 in the conference............

Just another game

It is clearly a big game. Not do or die but big none the less. Philly is a tough team and this will be a big test for the Cowboys. I'm looking forward to it.
