How Big is Next Week's Game?

If we beat the Eagles, I think we are a lock to make the playoffs based on our schedule (Dolphins, Cards, Seahawks, Skins, Bills, Bucs), assuming we stay healthy.

We can afford to split with the Giants & Eagles, plus lose one of the above games and still finish 10-6.

Second-easiest schedule in the league, according to Sagarin.

We've played the second-toughest.

What's the argument we hear when someone poo-poos our schedule? "Part of the reason those teams have so many losses, is because we beat them."

The Cowboys will be 4-3 if they beat Philly with 9 games to play that's a long way from being a lock for the playoffs. They would have to go 6-3 the rest of the way to guarantee themselves a playoff spot that's still a tall order with the teams they have coming up. They'll have Buffalo, Philly, at Wash and the Giants twice those games are toss ups. The one that concerns me the most is the season finale in NY the Cowboys season could be on the line in that one.

Romo has not faired well in do or die games on the road in Dec. The Cowboys last 4 games in Dec are going to be a challenge. The NFL is so balanced that anything can happen from week to week. One minute a team can be on top of the world and a couple of weeks later can be down in the dumps just look at Detroit.

Their schedule from here on out would like to have a word with you.

Exactly. That 4-2 record of theirs means nothing at this point.

It's only big if we lose.

If we win, then it was just the 2-4 Eagles and we'll get the true test the following week.

"It was the Eagles, dude......."

Truer words have not been spoken.

Seahawks
Cards
Dolphins
Skins (injured and playing horrible)

8 wins.

I have faith that we can go 2-3 (Giants twice, Eagles, Bucs, Bills) and get 10 wins. Freeman has come back to Earth and the Bills can't play defense.

Every game is most certainly big but this one is really big. It's Philly, in Philly.

Division rival. A chance to get over .500 and just as important a chance to hang a 5th loss on them. THat will put them in an extremely difficult hole to dig out of.
