How big is this game and what do you think will be different?

Biggest regular season game since the win-and-you're-in games of the Garrett era. I want homefield advantage, and the niners and the eagles are the ones standing in our way. Beating the 49ers now, and hopefully splitting w/ the eagles could be HUGE. With that said, I'd rather beat them in the playoffs than the regular season (duh).

If the Cowboys lose they're basically three games back in potential playoff seeding and it'll be 3 losses in 20 months. They need this win for more than one reason.
we shall see

On a scale of 1-10

And what matchups or key players change things
I would say a solid 8 out of 10 game.

You’re playing the team that has basically made you a punch line to the talking heads, and to some degree undressed you and bent you over in front of a national audience. Another manhood robber of a game shouldn’t be in the cards.

Machismo aside, long term playoff implications could come into play as the Cowboys have a murderers row schedule coming up and head to heads with the Birds and the Commodores.

Losing would not be the end of the world but a physical manhandling would probably temper some of our season’s expectations.

you are dead on with how this game is. I'd say its about a 7 out of 10.... a win here will be great for the rest of the season, a lost and the team's ego is gonna be bad the rest of the way.... Only hope I have is Dak to use his legs to keep drives going instead of stalling out.
Man Idk about that . Daks such a not smooth runner. Clunky

It's definitely a gauge how they measure up to the perceived front runner to get to SB58, on the road.

A loss puts them 2 games behind the top seed, but it's just game 5 of 17, so not an insurmountable task, however also a slippery uphill climb.

SF already clicking on all cylinders; Boys, there's a spark plug not quite gapped properly and there's a miss in they're game Diggs, Schultz, Oline, mental preparedness?

Hoping for a good competitive game.

Go Boys!

Biggest game in the NFL so far this season.
Pollard won't get hurt
Dak will not have a turnover
Gallup will have a big game

It is a big game but it also feels like a free shot because the majority believe the 49ers are going to win.

Usually the credo is the team that needs it more wins but it is probably still too early in the season for that. All said and done, it is a big game for Dallas and not so much for San Fran thanks to that Arizona loss.

Unlike the last two years, I actually have confidence we can beat this team. But not if half our offensive line is out. These aren't the Patriots or Jets we're facing.

As far as importance goes, this game is probably an 8 or 9. Not as high as the last game of the season in 1993, or week 15 of 1983. Those two were a solid 10.

It’s a big game, it could mean home-field advantage in the playoffs. We need to beat the 49ers to build some confidence against them to prove to ourselves that we can beat them in the playoffs if we meet up again. Certain teams seem to get our number and we struggle against them. The Cardinals are one of the teams that we haven’t beaten in a while and that continued a couple of weeks ago. We need to get over the hump against San Francisco.

That won't happen...the Cowboys are good. Not keeping responsibilities on scheme is the question for Dallas. Then staying on top of momentums.

Arguably the biggest game of the year so far. NFCC contenders, rich rivalry history, big time playmakers on both teams, recent playoff games. Statement game for both teams.
It’s a 10 for me for sure.
Hopefully no injuries to derail game and score some dang TDs.

definitely makes up for Card loss and forces and the dopes during the week on tv to consider Dallas "a team to beat" or "a super bowl favorite" Then its on to next weekend

We don't need Gale Sayers out there.

We need a Larry csonka John riggins type effort

Make no mistake about it he needs to run for us to win this game.

And we most definitely need to win this game or we go through the rest of the season like the kid who has his lunch money taken by the bully every year.

If we can't beat this team that we know we'll have to face later on we will have no confidence as the rest of the season continues.
As far as the standings go it's early in the season and just another game as far as team morale and confidence go probably one of the biggest games of the year

The overall import of this game at least to me is any other game at this point. It might help or hurt if they meet in the playoffs but really it may have say in home field advantage. Both teams could be in different situtions come the playoffs so a win or loss could mean very little.
If they both make it then they will be different teams than they are currently. Players get cut, traded, hurt.

Since so far in interviews the Cowboys players seem to feel this opponent is a monkey on their back then it's a 10. They seem to have this one in their heads, if they lose it it's going to mess with them and compound problems.
