It seems Dallas is building up the 49ers to a boogieman level. We will see Sunday if that is too much respect for them.
I agree. I think we’re giving them too much respect. They’re not invincible and they have flaws too.

I feel the game is a 7, but I feel we’re making it bigger than what it is. If we lose this game or win this game it doesn’t affect how this team is moving forward. People are acting like it’s the Super Bowl, Ala Jerry Jones. I think it’s too early in the season to put a game on a pedestal and say this is our measuring stick. JMO

It’s just another game. Given the fact we don’t have a number 1rb. We have a 2, a fb and a midget. I expect to lose.

Most important game of the season. A measuring stick game. The Cowboys have demons to exercise. For a lot of reasons I feel the 49ers are a bad matchup for the Cowboys. Yeah turnovers and the trenches will determine the game but the one thing that cant happen is McCaffery running wild.

This week it's a 10. When the playoffs begin it will be a 1.

Only one key player can change things for the Cowboys. Same one that cost the team the last game of the year two seasons in a row.
I agree 100% with your last point.
In terms of team goals, this is the first
possible tie-breaker opportunity for the playoffs.

How big a game it is will be determined by the number of "Fear of the Refs" threads before the game even starts.

Over/Under 2.5
I don’t know about fearing the Refs, but I do hope that a borderline judgement call that greatly impacts the outcome of the game goes the Cowboys way. You know, the kind of call that is made in a split second that might be called 60% of the time one way and 40% the other depending on who makes the call.

One thing that both excites me and worries me about this game and a potential rematch down the line is that it seems like for the Cowboys this is Super Bowlish....for SF this seems to be just another game on the schedule.
Yep. It’s like it used to be with Philly. The Dallas game was their Super Bowl.

I say it is a 10 .
this is for confidence and mental reasons, plus who ever wins has an added edge.

Loser will have less confidence going forward.

I think right now SF is playing better and more consistent, and are at home, no travel, so they should win.
However you never know what will happen.
Look at miam1, sets record with 70 points 1 week, and next struggles to score 20.

Importance? 9/10 for Dallas. It is as important as any regular season game possibly could be— save a “win and in” playoffs-on-the-line type game.

We have to lay it ALL on the field. Bring everything we can to this matchup. If we lose, season is far from over and we will have to regroup and confidence takes a big hit.

But win? Confidence and swag go thru the roof and we are sitting in the drivers seat in the NFC

I wonder
How the mood will be if Dak throws some picks and ceedee has no catches by the third quarter kinda game.

He’s in a contract year he wants stats

On a scale of 1-10

And what matchups or key players change things
This game is huge. Win, and suddenly the players will have a brand new attitude.

The only real issue is not having a bell cow back. Running our lightly built guys into the middle is not getting it done.

I legitimately believed Dallas would beat them the past two times. This time, I do not. So they likely will lol
Opposite here. W/ the emergence of Parsons and finally having some talented weight in the middle of the DLine, we're finally getting to where we can dominate up front. Still need that pocket collapsing 3 tech.

I have this game at about an 8 because there is a lot of games left that will have an impact on a potential post season run.

Lose they can still win this division or at least make the playoffs as a wild card.
Win and they can still lose the division (the eagles being undefeated) and getting a wild card spot isn't guaranteed.
