How Bout them BUCKEYES!

Yeah, I guess the running backs making 57 moves every play didn't have anything to do with it.

Must have been that killer heat and humidity that was the death knell for Ohio State. ;) :p:

If Texas had scored a TD, it probably would have been a different game

And if Troy Smith wouldn't have grossly overthrown Ginn on the post, well.......

Those Buckeyes brought their weather with them. They got some nice thunderstorms rolling through Austin the last few days making it nice and cool.

There was no heat and humidity. Coolest day all summer. Damn weatherman let me down. Wouldn't have made a difference though, Ohio State's just better.

Would not have made much of a differnce as they were rotating first and second units the whole first half...plus it was a night game.

You mean coolest Night? :D

Nope, we've had cooler nights but not even getting to 90 degrees during the day is spring weather.

sucks having a freshman QB who can't play up to the rest of the teams talent. maybe he will be good in a couple years. hardly any freshman QB's can come in and adjust to the speed of a college game. it even took Vince Young a couple years before he really got a grasp and began to dominate.

I needed that laugh.

I thought about this post 5 minutes later and realized that I should have been more obvious with my sarcasm.

Congratulations to the Buckeyes and really hope they make it all the way to the title game. i dont want to sound like im making excuses but if we were to have had a player at QB that actually had some experience and could play then i think that the Longhorns would have won. Too bad Superman didnt come back for his senior year and also too bad Brown went back to his stupid ways that he had before Vince Young almost single handidly led the Horns to the National Championship. Oh well good luck and it should be a big year for the Bucks

Ditto, I agree with everything you said. He is one of the greatest college QBs ever. The only guy I would rate above him would be Tommie Frazier. Vince had the chance to be all alone on the list too.

Okay, sorry about that.

I again want to say congrats to the Buckeye fans. What a good win for you guys. You came in here with a great gameplan and executed it almost to a T.

My hats off to you

I am upset that my horns blew some chances, but your team took advantage when they had to. Troy Smith is an outstanding QB who was money all game long.

I am rooting for a rematch, but I know it might not happen. If anyone else must win the MNC instead of Texas, I can't think of a better team than Ohio State.

we would have beaten them last year, if troy would have played the whole game. they ran the ball pretty well, but still they didnt compare with the buckeyes.

Don't get me started on this.

Texas blew several chances last year at the shoe as well(Kelson's INT drop that would have been a walk in TD for one along with Melton's TD that was called wrong.) it would not have been an "easy buckeye victory" if Smith had started the whole game.

Contrary to popular belief, Smith really did no better than Zwick...the numbers were basically even.

This year was a different story for both teams.

The Tight End dropped that TD pass last year.

I think that it's not that Smith just outperformed Zwick but the offense could have gotten a better rthyme with just one QB in the whole game.
