How can Parsons buy a holding call?

The elephant in the room is that Parsons can't draw a single penalty call. He is not only held, but he is choked, bear hugged and simply tackled in some plays and doesn't draw a penalty.

That fumble for a TD, he was held while applying pressure. Yet was able to hustle downfield, pick up the ball and run it in for a TD.

What an amazing play. Except for the fact that he was also held.

Someone in the FO needs to start speaking about this publicly. Maybe Jerry can say something rather than talking about Halloween candies as a kid.

I think Parson's tweet about the refs calling holding has literally gotten him in a position where they allow the OL way more leeway with him. He's literally getting MMA rear naked choked on plays and the ref lets it go.

They will not speak publicly about it because they know that they will get called out instantly, and would be considered crying and they don't want that bad PR.
Parson needs to wear something around his neck that is pressure activated so that it turns red when he is getting horse collared.
Would be red all game.

The argument from the NFL will be "we can't call holding on every play". And that's weak.

Get offensive lineman to stop holding on every play and it won't be called. It's not Parsons' fault he's that much better than anybody else.

Parsons talks a lot, and I've always stated that he can say whatever he wants to say playing at his level, but that's where he crossed the line IMO.
We like to dismiss conspiracy theories around here, but it really can't be any more obvious Parsons get the handy cap each game.
No way this league could deal with a clean running Parsons, he would wreck the league.

They were calling holding on just about every play with Connor Williams. So, yes they can all holding on every play.

ALL great players get held almost every play. I remember Bob Lily was held countless times as was Randy White, Charles Haley and DeMarcus Ware. This is not a new development.

I agree holding isn’t called enough for Parsons but this is not some new phenomenon. Watch Aaron Donald every week. They could call holding every play. When Lawrence Taylor played it was the same thing. When generational talent like Parsons hit the scene, holding could be called every play.

Obviously being held on virtually every play .. and they're not calling it.

Change my mind.

No one is getting held on virtually every play. However, he seems to be getting held when he's a) close to the QB or b) trying to run down an RB. So he's getting held a lot.

Re-watch the game. If he's rushing the QB, I stand by my statement - Virtually every play.

Agreed - old enough to have seen all those greats you mention. I don't even look at double teams or hitting gaps up the middle. Like LT, Parsons does alot coming from off the edge and the wrap up from the OTs are just flagrant.

I have rewatched the game and it's simply not true. He's getting held on some plays and they are rarely calling it, but virtually all is a high standard. I don't understand why some fans have to resort to hyperbole to make their point.

LOL - "virtually" lends me all the legal protection required for that statement in a court of law. If it conforms to your sensibilities, how bout, "more times than not?"

Its kinda like shaq when he used to play basketball. They couldn't call fouls all the time cause they were hacking him so often. Micah is so dominant that I don't think the refs feel they can call holding every time. He's just that much better than everyone else.

So, the sports channels and talking heads say Parson is the best pass rusher in football. Defensive coordinators are game planning him and where he is on the field at all times. The play-by-play and color announcers speak about Parsons all throughout the game. He is draped on the opposing QB as if he was part of the quarterback's jersey.

Yet the league, and the refs can't seem to focus on the guy the entire league is talking about. The offensive lineman has an arm across his chest holding on to the opposite shoulder pad like he is a seatbelt.

Even the talking heads state there is holding going on. But not on Parsons.

And Stephen Jones joked about it on the radio the other day stating, "They can't call a penalty on every play."

And when i brought this up the other day, there were actual fans lecturing me this happens to every team.

EVERY TEAM DOESN'T HAVE MICAH!
