He was a great QB and leader and had a great head coach. He had to suffer injury and being thrown to the wolves his first 2 years but everything came together and he was a major reason the team won 3 And, most accurate passer is ever seen.

If the 90’s cowboys defense was on the field today. There is not a chance on God’s green earth that Rodgers takes the ball and scores a go ahead TD with only a minute to play.

Charley Haley would have ripped their back-up offensive tackle’s head off. Then used the head to beat Aaron Rodgers into the ground, and then probably rubbed his groin on rodgers face for good measure.

That’s how Aikman won 3 Super Bowls.

This is absolutely true..but it doesn't change the fact that even if we had won this game..the defense is not good enough..rod needs to be relieved of his duties asap

Because he can't make chicken salad from chicken #$@! every week? Really?

How well did Aikman do his first two years as the team was being built? And how well did Aikman do after 1997 as the team deteriorated?

We pulled off the craziest trade of all time that created the trade chart because jimmy and Jerry took advantage of the Vikings. That have the team one is the strongest teams in NFL history. Aikman benefited from that. If you guys saw his first couple of years, you would have run him out of town. I went to the 16th game his rookies season and we were 1-15 and lost to the packers the last game of the season. Weekday would fans today say?

No joke. The Green Bay packers patch Work offensive line versus the 90’s defense? Aaron Rodgers would be coughing up blood by the end of the game, not throwing the game winning TD.

And I am dead serious when I say that.

Agree. That and a always on ground game and safeties who could come up with interceptions. Washington, Marion, Woodson.

Dak is probably starting to think its Groundhog Day. What happened to Tony over the years is now happening to him. No matter what he does its not enough yet he gets blamed.

Easy Answer:

How many times did Aikman win when the opponent scored 35 points?

In the three Super Bowl wins the defense allowed 17, 13, and 17 points. Imagine that, a defense that can actually stop someone once in a while, not to mention create turnovers.

Ok I'm tired of reading this from people who never played sports before. If this was a playoff game, sure. If it was a super bowl sure. It's a week 5 game and as a LEADER And captain you don't basically **** on your defense by saying they aren't good enough to stop Rodgers. You show you have confidence in paid professionals to do their job. Some of you don't know anything about team/leadership

Sorry but a good, smart, leader also realizes when all the confidence and faith in the world isn't going to save your defense.

There is no one on this planet, with any sense, or good leadership who would have put that defense back out there with 90 seconds remaining against AR.

Only clowns, fools, and idiots do that. Which, unfortunately, this team has plenty of them running around as coaching staff and decision makers.

Again, this wasn't the time to show disrespect to your teammates. You're a bad leader quite simply

Definitely not on Dak.

I'm not blaming him. He played his butt off.

Yeah he could have slid. But then maybe they fumble the next play. Maybe the GB defense just completely shuts them down and they never get into the endzone.

The players have to score when the chance is there to do so.

Yeah if it all worked out perfectly then yes you slide, run the clock all the way down, score at the end and AR never sees the field again.

That said I do expect his HC to be vetoing passing play calls with 1:30 left, or whatever, when you're running the ball effectively and should continue to do so to eat the clock up.
