How did Philly beat NE? I know NE was without Gronk but cmon.
To me, this is all the more proof that Garrett is flat out terrible. In 7 games without Romo we couldn't even ACCIDENTALLY beat an array of terrible teams....NY, TB, Philly, NO....couldn't even find a way to ACCIDENTALLY win one of those games. Heck, Jacksonville and Cleveland find ways to win a few games every year, which makes me think they would be 0-16 EVERY year if they had JG coaching them since JG can't even ACCIDENTALLY find a way to beat inferior teams without a top 10 QB. You would think, on average that in 7 games a good coach would figure out a few match ups to exploit, adjust for injuries, and manage the game well enough to find a way to get a W. But not JG, he sticks with what doesn't work, mismanages the game from start to finish, and despite oftentimes having superior talent, still loses. Contrast this with Bill Parcells who took a Troy Hambrick/Quincy Carter-led team to the playoffs with a 10-6 record. That is called coaching. What we have is not. Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a rant so feel free to move there.

I find it hilarious. Cowboys fans get their hopes up thinking "We're only 2 games back" and then Philly goes and beats New England. We need to accept that this era of the Dallas Cowboys has been a failure and we need to make serious changes to get this organization back on track.

They got 3 defensive TD's but that proves Garrett is flat out terrible.

I'm not sure I could consume enough alcohol to where that makes a lick of sense to me.

If anything, it should be a reminder to you that anything can happen on any given Sunday in the NFL. Teams win games on a handful of plays, and teams get hot when nobody expects them to.

Because their DL was getting the backfield all day and made Brady run outside the pocket, while our HC and great DC would have played conservative and backed off allowing Brady to sit back there all day and pick our secondary apart...

That defense forced the Pats to try all sorts of looks on offense, including having Brady go out and catch a pass..

It's not just the fact the Eagles lucked into picks, it's because the defense forces Brady into bad decisions.. Hell, even on the last drive that Brady scored a TD on, their LT had his hands to the face in the DL and the DB just slipped, while in good position. That's how Brady got that pass off to the wide open receiver..

The Eagles are going to win the East now at 8-8. Great timing, some luck and the 3 non offensive TDs did it. Reminds me of 2013 when it seemed they did that all the time. I'd rather see the Giants or Skins win it.

Hard to believe a year ago when we were 8-3 and some mentioned Garrett as coach of the year isn't it?

very true and as embarrassed as I am to say, I was one of them. In retrospect, I believe Romo was the key.....he should've been mentioned at that point as QB AND coach of the year. Funny thing is, I disliked Garrett very much prior to last season, thought he was a terrible coach so I'm convinced last year was a Romo mirage.

My dislike for Garrett is peaking. If you flipped the script and Romo was playing all season and Garrett wasn't around (I mean no HC at all), we'd be in the division driver's seat right now. Heck, this team w/o Romo and a different head coach, we'd have twice as many wins.
