I think the key was a mistake by bellichick to do the first onside kick, that pooch punt, which gave philly good position, and led to the first TD.
That changed momentum and they wound up scoring again and tied at the half.

Add to that the 3 freak td's and you have the upset.
also NE is at a low after denver loss and gronk hurt , and brady has none of his regulars except amendola who I dont think
was 100%.

So a combination of things, but still they beat NE in NE !! give them some credit for that.
Does not really matter how you win, just win.

How did Philly beat NE? I know NE was without Gronk but cmon.
To me, this is all the more proof that Garrett is flat out terrible. In 7 games without Romo we couldn't even ACCIDENTALLY beat an array of terrible teams....NY, TB, Philly, NO....couldn't even find a way to ACCIDENTALLY win one of those games. Heck, Jacksonville and Cleveland find ways to win a few games every year, which makes me think they would be 0-16 EVERY year if they had JG coaching them since JG can't even ACCIDENTALLY find a way to beat inferior teams without a top 10 QB. You would think, on average that in 7 games a good coach would figure out a few match ups to exploit, adjust for injuries, and manage the game well enough to find a way to get a W. But not JG, he sticks with what doesn't work, mismanages the game from start to finish, and despite oftentimes having superior talent, still loses. Contrast this with Bill Parcells who took a Troy Hambrick/Quincy Carter-led team to the playoffs with a 10-6 record. That is called coaching. What we have is not. Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a rant so feel free to move there.

Go watch their first 9 victories last year, and your question will be answered.

If you rub it long enough, any turd will get a little shine.

If you flipped the script and Romo was playing all season and Garrett wasn't around (I mean no HC at all), we'd be in the division driver's seat right now.
Does that mean Jerry would get all the credit?

I will answer this question as a Pats fan, long term (35 plus years as a season ticket holder), and also a member of this board for a number of years. I used to be a Boys fan before becoming a Pats fan.

Simple, no OL, and no WR's or RB, yep that just about answers all the questions.
