How did we lose to the Saints?

The Saints were a much different team in week two. Remember they started off red hot and were the highest scoring team in the league after the first two games. The problem for the Cowboys was simply playing them early in the season.

The NFL is always about matchups.
Dallas does not matchup well with tougher OLs and a solid running game.
The Saints had a great rushing attack and gameplan.
We struggled against New Orleans, Baltimore, Houston etc.
Teams that struggle to run seemingly we play better again - New York, Pittsburgh etc. (Washington I still don’t know how we stopped them).
We should matchup well against the Bengals. I do expect a loss, but anything is possible.

The defense was in La La Land, while the offense managed a whopping 19 points in the game's first three quarters.
This team is carried by its defense and if that is having an off day we LOSE!
Now why we have invested 90 million a year for a QB and WR ask Jerry???

The Saints were healthy when the played us. Their offensive and defensive line up looks much different today then in week 2. The Saints are similar to the Cowboys, lots of money paid to their top players but when injuries hit their depth is nowhere to be found.

Dallas defeated the Saints in 2021, 2018 and 2014 whilst losing to them in 2024,2019 and 2015.

Their strengths exploit the Cowboys weaknesses. It is a matchup thing, kind of like when Dallas plays Arizona and SF. The Saints are a shell of themselves now but would still give Dallas fits.
