Seems like they were making a concerted effort to manufacture touches for the guy, and I’m a fan of it. Just another wrinkle for the defense to have to consider and worry about. Didn’t provide any crazy results but I think it could pay dividends

I’m not for it as of now. I’d rather see Rico and Deuce more. I’m always afraid he will fumble.

*If he produces I won’t complain much.

I have no problem getting him involved and trying to take advantage of his speed and elusiveness but I’m not sure a direct handoff to him on 2nd and 8 or whatever it was is the way to go about it. Get him in space on screens, wheel routes, and delayed crossing routes and watch him do his thing. Treating him like a true RB and having him try and get through the LOS is not what I had in mind.

I think having him carry the ball as a RB is putting unneeded risk on your Pro Bowl Returner. I'd rather have Deuce get those touches, that is his wheelhouse. If you want to get Turpin the ball, I say sprinkle him in as a WR.

I like the idea but Deuce should have had some carries early on, not withstanding the late carries he got because it was a blowout. I think they need to balance the Dowdle/Turpin carries with Deuce.

if he can break a few plays, you put him out there more often...obviously reason why this can work well either as a decoy or playmaker

I'm in favor of using him more, just not out of the backfield taking touches away from Deuce.

I don't think he is a better RB (not even close) and he isn't a better receiver (not even close) than Deuce either.

I hope it was just an effort to cover some of the stuff they have for Deuce.

I liked it and it was not predictable like Moore's use of him was.

here's how i feel about it that is what you should do in a blowout, you work on plays.. they literally turned this game into.... they're working on their new offense... this is why mike McCarthy's a better play caller then moore, who would have been throwing high risk plays no matter what the score would have been. what better time to start working on plays ie turning it into a scrimmage or practice.

you don't think that the jets and other teams are going to look for those plays from those formations and all of sudden its a decoy and the offense throw the ball 40 yards down the field??

Id like to see him get the ball in space 7-10 yards past the line of scrimmage. Let him get the ball where he can do some damage.... behind the line? ugh
BUT, I think we are foolish to not try and utilize what his skillset has to offer.

Wondered why he wasn't used last year....just like I wondered why Pollard wasn't used three years ago
