How do Commander fans feel about their team helping Dallas clinch early by beating Philly?

I don't know too many Commander fans from my neck of the woods, but with their extreme hate of the Cowboys, a part of me believes that they weren't as happy about beating the Eagles in week 16 because their hated rival, the Cowboys were the beneficiary and allowed them to play fired up against the Colts the following day because they knew what was at stake. Then the following Sunday, the Cowboys turn around and beat the brakes off of their team. A part of me feels like they were hoping to lose to the Eagles so the pressure could remain on the Cowboys in week 17 to continue the "win and in scenario." Does anybody know what went through Commander fans' mind after the Eagle game?

I thought about that. It's funny that the Skins helped the Cowboys.

Eagles are a rival too, and that was a win to show signs of hope. I don't think they care as much as it helped us. Some probably do, and may be more so in hindsight. But at the time, they wanted to beat a rival.

They didn't end up helping us at all. We won the last two which would have put us in anyway.

Well of course in hindsight, Dallas would've gotten in on their own, but at the time when the Cowboys beat Philly in week 15, everybody was under the assumption that the Eagles would have no trouble with Washington and that Dallas would have its hands full with a 10-4 Colts team at home. When the Commanders won, a part of me believes it was bittersweet to them. I know the Eagles are a hated rival of theirs also, however I think they hate Dallas a little more.

Commanders fans are looking for anything of significance to their season. The Cowboys would have won the division regardless.

I texted a few and said "Thanks for the early Christmas present!" after the Skins beat the Eagles. The majority said "Don't worry, you'll lose to the Colts tomorrow and when you come to our house in week 17, we'll knock you out of a playoff spot."

Oh god, being at the Cowboys @ Skins game last Sunday was priceless. :starspin:

They're too busy being fair weather fans that are trying to jump ship right now. Probably going to become Ravens fans, now.

But in the end, they are just closet Cowboys fans....like the rest of the league.

A friend of mine, we had a saying. That all states are just annexes / territories of Texas. They may not know it or admit it, but they are.
So what you say goes hand in hand with it all.

I live in Maryland right on the border of dc and they were pissed. They want us to lose more than they want their team to win. They wanted to lose to the Eagles and beat us to prevent us from going to the playoffs.

if they lost they helped the eagles. no one ever wants to help the eagles.

I actually know a few Giant and Commander fans. They said Nowadays, they have more hate for the eagles than us. Due to their fan base.

I visit multiple sport forums, that is for every team, and in most threads Eagle fans get jumped by all 3 division opponents. Due to the fact they talk so much ****, and never won ****.

Dallas finished with four blowout wins, and Romo recorded the highest December QB rating in NFL history.

Washington helped nobody with anything.
