Eh, but look at his contract. He’s a FA yet will count close to 6m hit against next years cap. They have at least 5 contracts like that where 5 of their 11 starters who are FA will count 54m against next years cap!
The best teams aren't controlled BY the cap. THEY controll the cap. Every year the Eagles "are in Cap Hell", and people say they "will have to pay for it later".

Well, it's been 10 years of Howie R doing this shyeet, and I've yet to see him "pay for it".

It's kinda like aggressive business owners who know how to spend money to make money, and work the system, vs someone like Jerruh, who is probably like the old guy you get stuck behind in the supermarket checkout line, who still pulls out his old leather checkbook to pay for his groceries, and balances his checkbook rigjt there in front of you while you and 15 other younger people wait to pay their grocerieswith a phone app or debit card..

Jerrush is a dinosaur. Howie Roseman is Elon Musk... always doing stuff others don't do, not afraid to fail,...always swinging for the fences, and planning a trip to Mars while grandpa Jones hides money in a tin coffee can above the refrigerator.

It's pathetic. But hey, JERRUH is in this for the long haul. He's not looking to "go all in".

Lol, no they’ll been backloading the guaranteed money into the year after the contract runs out. Five of those contracts expire. A total of 11 starters are FAs plus several key backups. Cox, Graham, Kelce and Seamalo are almost certainly done. They’re going to most likely be outbid for Hargrave and to have any chance of keeping Bradberry they’re going to have to release slay. That still leaves Gardner Johnson, Epp, White, Sanders and about a half dozen backups!

I asked that question for a reason, the Galloway trade was in the year 2000. The Roy Williams trade was in 2008 and Ferguson was signed as a free agent in 2005. Are we as an organization and a fan base going to be scared for life because a trade that happened 23, 15 and 18 years ago didn't work? Really?

About Deion Sanders, he was acquired in 1995 that's
28 years ago and was the catalyst behind our last super bowl so i think, despite the injuries, that FA signing worked out.

Look at the years on all these transactions, 28, 23, 18 and 15. No GM should be around to suffer from PTSD of bad transactions that happened this long ago. If we were a normal organization the GM in place would only remember the last five years or so but no, ours is still resenting the Galloway and Williams trade and scared to do anything because of it. AJ Brown, JuJu, MVS and Toney were all "names we've heard" and we'll hear again at 5:30 today.
When the kid talked Jerry into taking a future HOF guard, he started getting a lot of say. Things changed right around then.

The same kid treats player salaries as if they come out of the tiny little fund that feeds his children, so here we are.

Except when it comes to when they like a player personally, or when someone’s wife likes another’s wife personally…it’s all a big happy family.

Not sure why Cowboys fans do this.
Give them props, they've built a great team.
And they can keep this team mostly intact if they so choose, they are in better cap position than we are (and draft position too).
They also have 4 picks in the top 100 (2 in the first round, including #10).
Hurts still makes peanuts next season. I actually think he may sign a team friendly deal. Not saying he won't get paid, but I could see him being the type of guy to work with Howie to keep the team competitive.

Yes, they have several contracts with void years, but they can simply extend those players and most of the money gets pushed back again. That's why teams do void years. As long as the player is productive (like Hargrave, Bradberry, Seumalo), they can extend them if they wish, and their cap will likely go down, and save them money off next years cap.
Hargrave for example is at almost 12 mil in dead cap next year, but if they extend him (and my guess is they will), he signes a big entension they can alctually lower his cap number (next year at least) by exrending him.
The trick is to know when to pull the plug.
Hargrave I believe they will extend, unless they feel his contract exceeds his value.

With Bradberry for example, do they extend him with a big number he will likely demand (MV is 17 Mil), when they already have Slay on the other side making big money, or do they use a pick on a corner and save the money long term? My guess is they may draft a corner at 10 (or be smart, move back a few spots, still get a top corner AND add additional draft capital). That's the game, knowing when to retool. If I were their GM, I may let Bradberry go, use a pick on a top corner, and enjoy the comp pick I get from Bradberry next year, Seumalo too. Draft Torrence at 32, let Seumalo walk and enjoy that comp pick. Those guys are both 29, replace them in the draft with younger (and much less expensive) players long term. They have drafted well. They already have Jurgens waiting in the wings at C (or could move Dickerson over to C, which he played at Alabama), if Kelce retires, and I think he will.

They are actually in really good position to remain a top team. They will have some changes, no doubt, but I think they will be in the mix for several years.

I've seen several posts and comments here Da Zone, stating the Cowboys are not that far behind the Super Bowl contending Philadelphia Eagles, ..
So per opinion/thoughts, how do we the Cowboys compare to the Philly Eagles in various areas, units and positions ?

Here's a look at mine.

MANAGEMENT TEAM/FRONT OFFICE - Eagles

COACHES:
Head Coach - Eagles
Offensive Coordinator - Eagles
Defensive Coordinator - Eagles

OFFENSE
Quarterback - Eagles
Running Backs - Cowboys
Tight End - Eagles
Wide Receiver - Eagles
Offensive Line - Cowboys

DEFENSE
Defensive Line - Eagles
Linebackers - Cowboys
Cornerbacks - Eagles
Safety- Eagles

SPECIAL TEAMS:
FG kicker - Eagles
Punter - Cowboys
Return specialist - Cowboys
We’re better at qb and edge rusher. They’re better at o-line , dt, and wr.

Nonsense, they have 11 starters who are free agents, plus another 6 key backup players. They have roughly 29m in cap space. They have one player in Johnson who can be restructured (6m) and he’s 32 and has already been restructured several times. They’d have to resign (not extend) Hargrave, Seamalu and Bradberry. Those 3 players already count as a 22m cap hit. I seriously doubt either Hargrave or Bradberry are interested in anything other than top market value!

Only one change I would make here. I would take the Eagles Oline.

Y’all hoping the eagles fail rather pressing our team to be better.

Eagles have a combo of methodically sustaining drives - big catches in-between ..and going deep for the big ones .

A lion's heart vs a jackal's heart. That is the difference. The talent is on par with the Eagles.

They'll let Bradbury walk.

Yeah, and we have had 3 extra weeks of rest Philly didn't have come beginning of next season, so we should be fresher.

That's the good thing about never advancing past the divisional round: we're always fresher than teams like the Eagles that are always playing in NFC Champ games and SuperBowls, which is probably why we're always better than them.
What world have you been living in? The eagles are not always in the championship game nor the SB.
how many SB wins do the eagles have? Thank you 1, 1 ** ring, and they’re always there that’s hilarious.
