How do we fix our red zone issues on both sides of the football?

Goff had a terrible game no doubt, but I am not putting the annoiting oil out for Daniels just yet. Looked like Detroit never faced a mobile QB, but we shouldn't be surprised, same results against the Bills. Bet the Eagles would of done the same, if not worse.

Going back to Daniels, let's see if he can repeat this performance next season when DC's have an offseason to study him. Stroud who in my opinion is better, came somewhat back to earth in year 2. Same can be said about Bo Nix.
Det was missing a myriad of players on D.

Difference in the game was the quarterback play. Can’t get around that. Goff is a good quarterback but he needs everything to be perfect. Daniels is one special case.
Goff needs better playcalling period. For some very odd reason, the OC had him sitting in the pocket(like a duck) throwing 80 yd passes. And that's w/ the best contingent of weapons in the NFL in LaPorta, Gibbs, Montgomery, Amonra, and several others. The goal should've been to keep the ball out of Daniels' hands, but instead there they go being stupid.

My estimation of Ben Johnson plummeted hard and fast during/after that game. For some very odd reason he tried to make Goff into what he isn't.

It's not that he needs everything to be perfect, not at all. Goff needs playcalls to suit his strengths.

Offense

-We need a running back who has a nose for the end zone. A double digit rushing TD type, not a back who has less then 5 in a season.

Jeanty, Hampton, Johnson all are excellent fits.

-Really need that big, athletic receiver threat who dominates inside the red zone. Teams will look to take away Lamb. Ferguson has been a downgrade from Shultz.

T-Mac would be the perfect fit. Savion Williams, Ayomanor, Tyler Warren, Fannin Jr would be excellent fits.

Defense

-Defense needs to create more tackles for loss and not give up easy rushing touchdowns. They lead the league in giving up the most rushing TD's.

Graham, Harmon, Grant, Williams, Campbell LB
On offense it is easy. You don't take your best running back off the field and bring in a washed up Zeke. Getting rid of Zeke and adding 2 backs in the draft is a huge upgrade.

Goff played badly but the play calling made it much worse. If you just take a couple of those turnovers away, maybe Detroit pulls it out.

Dead last in rushing TD's, fully agree it starts with overhauling the RB room.

They have been struggling since Thanksgiving on defense, but still no excuse. We beat the Commanders with a backup QB and a banged up defense in their park.

Add Jeanty or Hampton or Johnson or Henderson with Devin Neal from Kansas or Bhayshal Tuten from Virginia Tech and you would be ready for some success.

It's part of the solution. You also have to improve upon all those pre snap penalties down there and have a better running scheme.

16 players on injured reserve. Including around 4-5 starters on D. So, almost half their starters out on D, but that's not excuse? I admit it, I don't get your way of thinking.

There are ways to protect a banged up defense, you cannot give up 45 points up in a home playoff game. The loss is worse then what happened to us last year against the Packers.

Having Parsons and Overshown on the field fixes a lot of problems.
