Do you have your login set to log in automatically? If you come back not logged in it won't remember that you clicked it off already.

Yes, he started it several weeks back and asked for some suggestions to flesh it out. No one suggested dumping it off the opening page.

I don't mind it, was just chiming in.

It should only show up until you click the X to close it. If you log out though, you will see it again.
