How do y'all feel Overshown is playing?

He is coming back from a massive injury and surgery. All three knee ligaments torn and repaired.

I am shocked he is back on the field at all.

Even when he gets up to physical speed, he may never regain the form he had before the most recent injury.

Assuming he does come all the way back— I would imagine it will take him to pretty close to 2 years from the injury for a full recovery which would put him still a year away.

Even if that happens, will he be able to mentally trust his body and play aggressively like he did prior to the injury?

Bottom line: I respect him for getting back on the field immensely. He is playing about what I would expect in terms of knocking the rust off, still not being 100% healthy, and dealing with the psychological aspects of the recovery

Im happy he is healthy and getting more playing time. He is doing ok, getting used to. Don’t expect much from him, hope he gets his confidence back.

I am curious how you guys believe that Overshown is playing?
I feel like he's not being utilize right by Eberflus. He should be heavily involved in blitz packages. He had 5 sacks and multiple TFLs the way Zimmer was blitzing him last year.

If he stays healthy, I'd expect a major performance boost once we get him playing under a better defensive coordinator in 2026.

I feel like Eberflus biggest problem is not scheming to the player's strengths. He need to stick with being a LB position coach or his career is finished.

Coming from someone who's had 3 knee surgeries from MINOR injuries, l have massive respect for the guy. I wish l could still run. I miss being able to distance run.

I feel Better about the play when he’s on the field. Like he’s our only sure tackler. Ball carriers don’t bounce off of his hits

He's doing great, he seems to be hitting and cutting good, once he gains more experience out there... he'll be a hell of a player.

Glad the internet doctors on here were wrong...

Hurt....I believe Overshown and Revel aren't even 90%, hence those big braces on their knees. I don't care how Overshown performs long as he gets thru the season without re-injury.

...I just cringe when he dives in for the play. HOPING he gets back up correct, ready for the next.

Mental part, like you mentioned, is hardest part. Every game is small progress.

Im a big fan! What i see is hes a tad slow in reaction and play recognition. But i see the same closing speed. Every week hes progessing. Welcome back Agent 0.

Good story, but not good enough to make a difference at this point.

Also, the likelihood of him not suffering anymore significant injuries is very low.

I’d move on from him.
