How do you feel about Oscandalous?

That was the best game I have seen him play and he still got the back of his jersey on TV plenty. He's a very good slot corner with very bad hips and an extraordinarily slow turn which make him susceptible to the deep ball. Our best defense is with Claiborne and Carr on the outside with OScan in the slot, all pressing.

And it's not even a matter of missing Mike Jenkins, because Claiborne replaced Jenkins, not Scandrick. I don't know why you keep trying to have that argument with yourself.

You hyped him when he was a flat bum, lets get that out if the way. This year I don't know what's gotten into him. That chick Draya must have him on some other stuff. Lol he's been a beast this year. Never thought I'd say that about him.

I'm glad to see both him improve and the board begin to appreciate his talent. Some players take longer than others to "arrive". Three years is still the sweet spot IMO. He is just starting to find his groove after 5 years in the league. I'm just glad we didn't give up on him.

LOL. I argued with many on here and it was much less about positional outcome and more about mano a mano talent level. I'll take a lunch pail guy that isn't afraid to leave it all out on the field any day over a guy that's known to make a "business decision" or two on occasion. Slouch vs overachiever... It's not even close.

I would hardly call Scandrick an "over-achiever". He hasn't achieved anything except not being the worst CB on the team for stretches. He looked absolutely lost on several plays yesterday. The only guy in the backfield separating himself right now is Carr.

Furthermore, I don't even get this "leave it all on the field" business you guys are all panhandling now. He looks like the same guy he has been since he got here. Yeah, he may not blatantly avoid hitting guys, like Jenkins did, but he isn't gonna throw his hat in where he can avoid it either. Claiborne has proven to be just as willing (and just as inept) in the tackling department as Scandrick.

Another butt hurt Jenkins fan has stepped into the spotlight. Thank you for your esteemed commentary.

I like Scandrick, but I was just as upset about his missed tackle on the Alfred Morris TD as I was happy about his INT.

How on Earth do you get "butt hurt Jenkins fan" from my post? I mentioned him once in the midst of Claiborne, Scandrick and Carr.

You are generally pretty even kilter and knowledgable but you're way off base and trying to make things personal right now for whatever reason.

To be absolutely fair, I was upset too. That's not an easy tackle to make though coming from that angle and trying to tackle a RB that has his full steam north/south momentum on.

I'll just agree to disagree with your previous rundown of Scandrick's talent level and leave it at that. No harm intended. I just staunchly disagree.

It's a little too late to just "agree to disagree" but whatever. You've shown your true colors.

Whatever man. I diametrically oppose any opinion that doesn't give credit where credit is due. Scandrick is balling out there in the defensive sets and on special teams. Yes. I asked for opinions but, as I would imagine you read, I have my own heavily tilted opinion on the subject as well. Don't call Scandrick a bum and expect for me to remain dormant.

& about my true colors... I have never hidden them. Ever. I'm here to engage in some though provoking conversation and clearly understand there's a wealth of varied opinions on the board. Many I respect while some I find comical. That said, I'm sure I provide plenty of comedy relief here too. Such is the essence of the prototypical message board..

I have been hard on him in the past, he has played well this year. My 1 knock on him is he won't look back at the ball. He could have had another pick last night if he did

Hey guys who think Scantron stunk yesterday, somebody agrees with you: http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***...alls-performance-worst-game-of-the-year.html/

Personally I love him, although he probably makes a bit more than a nickle back should.

To clarify, He was being critical of himself which is something we should all appreciate. ;)

But anyone who disagrees with you about Scandrick is suddenly a Jenkins fanboy?

The problem is you're arguing from emotion and opinion and bringing nothing else to the table. That's fine, but that doesn't prove or mean jack squat. You may as well open a chat room with yourself because you've created a forum completely closed off to any else's opinions, after you specifically asked for them.

Ive watched the coaches tape on every game. Particularly since Scandrick was moved outside, and he hasn't done much better, if at all than Claiborne in any aspect of the game. He is more often than not caught trailing on plays (hence my comments about his back being on TV so much.) He teeters between too much cushion and not enough. His technique is better than Claiborne's but the physical abilities needed to play out there, quick hips and the ability to turn and run, just aren't there. It's the exact reason he has never been a starter outside.

The only thing I have continued to say is that he needs to be moved back inside. Is that really so incredulous to you that you want to make this personal?

And FTR, I have never once said he stunk yesterday and have on many occasions in several different threads, said it was the best I had seen him play. So there goes that argument...

ARLINGTON — Orlando Scandrick said Sunday night’s victory over Washington was a confidence boost for a Dallas Cowboys defense that struggled the previous two weeks.
But the veteran cornerback also said the unit has plenty of room to improve. And despite an interception, a pass breakup and four tackles, he included his own performance.
Scandrick took the blame for missing a tackle and allowing a 45-yard Alfred Morris touchdown run late in the third quarter.
“That’s a tackle that I normally make,” Scandrick said. “I’ve got to go and figure out a way to get him to the ground. No excuses, no explanations.”
But Scandrick overcame his mistake in a big way in the final quarter, intercepting Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III in the endzone. The turnover came with 5:08 remaining and the Cowboys up 31-16, the score they eventually won by.
“I can play better,” Scandrick said. “I probably played my worst game of the year.”

Don't take it personal when I counter your tilted view of his performance. When I asked for opinions, I was looking for those like yourself to provide an updated opinion of his performance. You obviously haven't thought much of his game. That's crystal clear regardless of how much sugar you toss into the end of the post. FTR? Yeah riiight. You didn't criticize because there wasn't anything to criticize. Nothing here is personal. If I left you with that impression, I clearly haven't been transparent enough with my responses.

You countering my argument by calling me a Jenkins fanboy is pretty hard to misinterpret. That's pretty clear. That's not being open to opinions. That's looking for an argument.

You clearly have a vibrant sense of humor as evidenced by the tone of your responses since I made that statement. Have you ever thought that I may have been poking fun?

It's ok to call me a Scandrick, Choice, TO, Beasley, or Murray fanboy. I won't mind. Pinky promise.
