Probably the same as me. I predicted 16-0.http://i356.***BLOCKED***/albums/oo4/DallasEast1701/Hostilestar2.png How do you think Emmitt feels about his prediction right now?

Things look very good now...Romo just has to show he can be Mr. December too

7-9 was a fair prediction to start the season IMO. So was 8-8, 9-7 and any other number of calls. Emmitt's was critical, to be sure, but not unfair. Now, 3-13 would have had my eyes bugging out.

JBond;3066217 said:I got ya. Just tired of the doom and gloom folks. I think we are going to be just fine in December. Last night was not the prettiest game but Romo and the D got it done. They are growing into a very formidable team. I do not believe the issues we have had late the last couple of seasons have to do with when we played them, but how we prepared and executed. Those losses could have happened at any point in the season, not because of the month they were played in.

Dumb butt sanders said all hell would break loose by week 7 or 8 without buffalo bill and that romo and witten were not good enough to help this team.....He is a complete moron and it is insulting that he is a tv analyst.
Boyzmamacita;3066032 said:Whether Romo is Mr. December or not, the Cowboys will win more than 7 games this season. Emmitt was wrong about the talent and heart of this team. Period.
If he's talking about anything else, there may not be that many who care. However, people will always care what Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman, Jimmy Johnson,Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Bob Lilly, Rayfield Wright, etc., etc., have to say about the Dallas Cowboys.CactusCowboy;3066269 said:Who really cares whay Emmit has to say? I posted this eight months ago:RainMan;3065765 said:I think after the offseason we had -- one in which we focused on dismissing petulant but skilled players -- there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding this franchise. Truthfully, did you never wonder what the offense might look like without T.O.? Did you have that much trust in Roy? Did you know Austin would step up?
Not to mention what I think was the crutch of Emmitt's argument: That 44-6 loss exposed the underbelly of what was a gutless Cowboys team and that the loss, coupled with the dismal way we shut down Texas Stadium, would transfer over to the 2009 season.
No, I don't think taking that "leap" was unfair -- Romo's winning percentage be damned.
To be noted, as I said before, I also would not have found a 9-7 or 10-6 prediction to be unfair. Yes, I think it was fair to question this team's mindset and offensive ability given the Eagles loss and T.O.'s departure, respectively.
