Yeah he is one I have my eye on. I think Kaaya will be the top QB but Kelly has a chance to be a real good QB and possibly move into the first. He's also the nephew of Jim Kelly, fwiw.

Problem is if an elite QB or two end up in the class they will be top 5 or 10 picks. If we avoid major injuries we will probably be drafting no higher than late teens. At that point it would cost a lot to move up to top 5 territory. That why if we thing Wentz and/or Goff have solid potential this is the year to strike. But all indications are we'll pass and have to wait til at least next year. But unless we want to pay a fortune to move up we will probably be looking at QB's no better than Wentz/Goff at our spot in the first.

But knowing Jerry he'll wait til Romo is done to find a replacement like we did with Aikman. And if not for lucky out on undrafted Romo we wouldn't have found one when we did.

in the next few years. the top QBs will be going in the from the second round on up! There are no NFL QB in the pipeline.

I don't get the get RB next year comments. That position doesn't need to be a 1st. That is the easiest position to find.

No late first before that most places

Not at the start of the season. He was constantly being mocked in the 2nd I even remember hearing talk about him being a solid 3rd round selection for a short time. He moved up to 1st round players towards the end of year. was named top 5 player after Senior Bowl

So if every QB class is awful, what's this league gonna look like in 5-10 years?

One-read QBs, and if the first read isn't there, tuck the ball and scramble. Slide before getting hit. Bubble screens galore. I think the Tyrod Taylers will be the norm.

http://BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/draft2017QB.php

1 Deshaun Watson*, QB, Clemson - YUCK

2 Brad Kaaya*, QB, Miami

Height: 6-4. Weight: 209.
Projected 40 Time: 4.72.
Projected Round (2017): 1-3.
2/20/16: 2015 was a rough year for Miami and Kaaya had to battle through with a weak supporting cast. He completed 61 percent of his passes for 3,242 yards with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions on the season. Kaaya didn't develop significantly over his freshman year performance. He needs to mature physically and mentally in order to be a high pick.

Kaaya has a good physical skill set and has displayed some pocket-passing ability to go along with poise. In 2014, he completed 59 percent of his passes for 3,198 yards with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions
Kaaya had a ton of talent around him as a freshman in the form of a stud left tackle (Ereck Flowers), wide receiver (Phillip Dorsett) and running back (Duke Johnson).

my wild card is

Chad Kelly, QB, Ole Miss
Height: 6-2. Weight: 215.
Projected 40 Time: 4.75.
Projected Round (2017): 2-4.
2/20/16: Kelly showed development late in the 2015 season and was playing well for Ole Miss. For the year, he completed 65 percent of his passes for 4,042 yards with 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. It was Kelly's first season starting for the Rebels. Prior to that, he played in the junior college ranks for a year.

Chad Kelly? Awful. Terrible decision maker on and off the field.
Look up his rap videos about himself. I don't want this guy as my QB. Not a chance.

Next year looks like a killer RB class, but you're right it doesn't need to be a first.

You never know who will step up their game before the season. There could be several QBs become top tier talent. Before the 2014 college season Wentz and Lynch were unknown nationally.

This.
Reading the QB tea leaves a year in advance is tough stuff.

So the NFL will be morphing into the CFL with better athletes?

Yeah, already happening. And there is talk of widening the field an extra 3 yards like the Canadian field for player safety. I would guess that some of the motion and formation rules might change also. Weird, isn't it?

Throw in the fact that the NFL is going global with a team soon in London and talk of one in Mexico and Germany. I would imagine other rules might work their way into the NFL.

Well if thats the case Jerry can just wait till Johnny Football sobers up and bring him in (I am opposed to this), he has CFL written all over him.
