I mean Favre just retired, and HONESTLY, the Giants and Packers were the only 2 teams REMOTELY close to us!
With G.B. now taking a big step backwards, and the Giants losing a couple F/A's and possibly Strahan and Manning (regardless of winning a S.B.) doesn't really scare me, I think as long as we stay healthy, we should get home field advantage AGAIN with only needing to win 2 home games to make the superbowl, and quite honestly, I dont' see any other NFC for the next 5 years taking over home field for us, so we should only need to win 2 home games each year for the next 5 years to make a superbowl, things are looking up as if they weren't already with 13 pro-bowlers, Romo only gonna get better each year and TWO 1st round picks, it's gonna be a good 7 year run for us and hopefully at LEAST 2 superbowl wins!

Well, noone can predict the future, and football is a hard game!

The Cowboys could just as easily go 8 - 8, or 13 - 3 again. It all depends...but don't count you chickens before they hatch!

It's not going to be easy at all.

Last season, inspite of 13-3, was pretty difficult.

well i do agree that Favre retiring makes the Packers less of a threat in theory, although we saw what Rodgers did to us last season....and i also agree that the Giants don't scare me very much.

however, i don't think we will sail through to home-field again, b/c you need to remember our schedule for next year i believe includes away games at Pittsburgh and Green Bay, and as crazy as it sounds i am not convinced that the game at Cleveland will be easy with the way their offense played at times last year. And we all know how our division games can always go either way.

now our home schedule doesn't bother me near as much, w/ the exception of our division games, b/c San Fran, Tampa, Baltimore, and even Cinci don't scare me

of course a lot of this depends on what we do with the CB position, b/c if don't improve that we could be in for a long season with so many teams that can throw the ball coming up next season....

Yeah, if our plane crashes! Knock on wood!
Barrign injury, anything less than 11 wins would SHOCK ME and if we go 8-8 I will EAT MY COMPUTER piece by piece!

The Vikings will probably be a better team. So will the Saints and the Eagles.

I expect the Cowboys to fall back a bit in terms of record (11-5, 10-6) but to play in the NFC Championship.

Yeah, I agree with you...

Something like 10 - 6, maybe 11 wins? But it's not going to be easy!

We have to remember, the hunter sometimes becomes the hunted! And in this case (as usual  ) every team that plays the Cowboys is their Superbowl...

So I don't expect a calkwalk that is for sure...

Each season takes on it's own identity. What Tampa, Green Bay, and Cleveland demonstrated last season, that anything can happen. Even our lost to the Giants shows that. If the 'Boys are going to be good, they have to do what the Patriots did in the regular season..."take NO prisoners" every weekend. Then the 'Boys MUST find a way to win their first playoff game in well over a decade, and take it from there. Regardless of 'who or how many times', we play an opponent!!

I figure the team will go 11-5 next year...the schedule is more difficult than last year IMO...its football the team may go 14-2...you never know...you can quote me on the 11-5. If the team stays somewhat healthy. First round bye, perhaps home field...def a Superbowl appearance. Against Colts or Pats.

NO one knows how tough our schedule will be. Making predictions now is really dumb. By the end of camp we will have a better idea but even then....

I hate posts like this because I know they are going to jinx us. The Giants aren't better than us, they were just playing well when it counted most. Bottomline: we can beat them.

My bigger concern is Tony Romo developing a playoff-failure complex. He has to come up big and get that elusive first playoff win next season or we could risk him being developing a complex. Of course, Wade Phillips will be gone, too.

I don't know guys, I mean the Patriots were the only team to REALLY beat the Cowboys, the other games were just FLUKES or DUE TO INJURY. Since the Boys and Pats don't play this year, I could see the Boys resting their starters during preseason to keep them HEALTHY and then winning all the regular season games. You have to think that with two home games, they could walk into the Superbowl without any real trouble, and then potentially face the Patriots who are also undefeated and OMG that would be AMAZING. With all the free agency losses the Pats have, I could TOTALLY SEE THE BOYS WINNING! Where is the Superbowl being played anyway? I need to book my HOTEL!
