How ecstatic would you be if the Cowboys won the Super Bowl?

That would require a meteor hit during halftime of the KC-Buffalo AFC Championship game, so I'd be respectfully giddy.

For me. It be like when they beat Buffalo 1st time in Super Bowl. Heck I was jacked when they beat Niners in the NFC Championship
Those NFC Championship games back then were the best football games of the year. The Super Bowls were blow outs. Dallas and Niners were the best teams for a little while back then- apologies to the Bills, 4 Super Bowls in a row is an accomplishment in and of itself, but if they had to play the Cowboys or Niners in the AFC Championship they may not have been to any Super Bowls.

I have experienced every Cowboy Super Bowl, except the first one.

The consistent feeling I have after winning is a let down. Certainly I am elated, but I am saddened that the ride is over. It's like, "Damn, we have to start this all over next year."

I can say, back in the 90's I was pretty vocal with fans of other teams about winning. After this 26 year drought, I suspect I won't be rubbing it in to people like I used to.

I guess I equate winning it all like going to the Grand Canyon for the first and only time. As a kid it was such a big deal. When I got there and looked out all I could think of is that it's just a big hole. Sort of let down. But in a different way.

Another odd thing. I have found it much more difficult to get over losing the NFC Championship game than the Super Bowl.

My first reaction would probably be shock, then excited. You could see the Cowboys first 5 championships coming. They were repeatedly knocking on the door in the early 70s before finally breaking through. Every year they had a great team that had a real shot. You could see the championships coming in the early 90s. The team was getting better every year. If they win the Super Bowl this season there’s no way anyone saw it coming. Most everyone thought they were going to have a rough year after the disappointing playoff loss last season to San Francisco, coupled with a bad offseason that saw several good players move on. This season started off worse than expected with Dak being injured along with losing the opener at home by 16 points. I’m very surprised we currently have an 8-3 record. I certainly wouldn’t have predicted it.

It's hard for me to think differently than that as well... I guess all people who have experienced some of the past dynasties feel that way. It's still hard to wrap your head around the parity in the league (Outside of Brady/Belichick). There have been 2 or 3 other Cowboys teams that could've won it all since the 90s teams IMO, this is probably an addition to that count and if they won it would be an amazing surprise but the season has been overall already (like you said). No way after week 1 would 99% of us thought we'd be 8-3 with a top tier Defense and now a top 10 caliber offense. The Green Bay game gave me renewed doubts and reminded me what being a Cowboys fan is about. That type game hasn't been an anomaly for Cowboys teams anymore. The franchise certainly still has the capability to lay an egg at any time. That didn't happen much during the Jimmy years or Landry years even.

Just the taste of them playing in the Super Bowl is enough for me. I haven't seen them in the Super Bowl since I was 21. Tired of watching other franchises in the Super Bowl. It's time.

I would immediately call my buddies in Dallas and after the yelling over the phone I’d get parade arrangements figured out.

I would do some excessive partying and celebrating as soon as I touched down. Currently helping my dad move out of Arlington as he just retired from GM. If it wasn’t for that I’d be on the first flight to his house lol.
