my boy Zach Potter has just ran the 40 at 4.9 both times.

With his size ( 6'7, 280 lbs ) and that speed, I'd love for Dallas to spend a late 4th round pick on him ( if he's there ). Perhaps their own 4th rounder, or one of the comp pick they're supposed to be getting.

I think Zach could replace Canty without any trouble.

he's actually very similar to Canty, has long arms that he uses to get in passing lanes to knock down passes, does a good of chasing plays across the line

but I'd monitor the runs in the draft. If I see that there's a run on D-linemen somewhere in the 4th, I wouldn't wait past the 4th round.

The good news is that, as of " right now " , he's not exactly an ideal 4-3 DE, and he's not exactly an ideal 4-3 DT ( although he does remind me alot of John Dutton as a DT ) so not alot of teams are going to be drooling after him.

I want the Cowboys to pick him, badly. I'm totally convinced he's the perfect 3-4 DE who could be with the team for the next 10 years.

about USC players, but according to Mayock, there's alot of " bad tape " on Michael Johnson from G-Tech and some teams are taking him off their boards in the 1st round.

If he falls into the 2nd round ( which I HIGHLY doubt ), the Cowboys need to jump ALL over him. And I mean as soon as the first 4 to 6 picks go off into the 2nd round, they need to be on phone with EVERYBODY trying to move up.

Mayock is right, there is alot of bad plays that sho Johnson to be inconsistent, but his upside is just too great to pass up.

another guy to consider is USC DE Kyle Moore, he's 6'5" 272 and ran a 4.89 today

he could also play OLB too

Jasper Brinkley looked awful lean and more athletic than i thought. He could be a very good pickup in round 4.

Brinkley is a monster, and he was the clear cut leader for South Carolina since he started anchoring that defense. He had a serious knee injury though, but thats my only question mark. He is a guy with a high motor and is a beast in the weight room. He also finished a game against LSU with severely torn ACL.

He's going to get overlooked by a lot of people, and we know how much Jerry loves the SEC.

Maualuga Injures Hammy

USC LB Rey Maualuga ran between 4.78 and 4.85 in his first 40-time, but will not be able to complete the rest of his workout after injuring his right hamstring near the end of his first 40-yard dash. Two weeks ago he had strained the same hamstring, but said today that he felt a pop in the same leg and will now have to wait for results of a possible MRI to determine the extent of today’s injury. He is now likely to workout at USC’s Pro Day.

Texas DE/OLB Brian Orakpo injured his hamstring during the DL drills, but later said that it was just a minor injury and that he should be ready to perform drills for scouts/coaches at Texas’ Pro Day in late March. Cincinnati DE/TE Connor Barwin ran between 4.64 and 4.69 in the 40-yard dash and had a 40.5″ vertical… a lot of teams that have interviewed Barwin have spoken to him about possibly even converting back to outside linebacker.

I'd rather have Clay Matthews.

With that Big Ben, Big Contract you better belive the Steelers are going to go oline in the draft. They will either go Alex Mack or Max Unger with that pick.
