He is not playing to not get hurt. That is BS. He is clearly not 100% on that ankle- which probably will not completely heal untill the offseason. Add to that the BS that BP has indoctrinated him on as regards two hands on the football, no cutbacks, go where the play is designed, etc, has taken a lot of the spark out of his play.
I don't get it. The guy accounted for over 150 yards of offense by himself and you're questioning how good he is. He's not the one who's holding this team back. Maybe you'd like to have Troy Hambrick back.
Parcells ruined Julius just like he destroyed Curtis Martin. What an awful player Martin has turned out to be, Curtis Martin...more of parcells handiwork, he just cant coach players.
Julius was clocked at 4.40 forty at the combine. If he would have run that time in this past year's combine, he would've been the fastest RB.
Parcells didn't "destroy" Julius. The run blocking has been poor and they were facing very good run defenses. Once Julius got going in the Eagles game, he wound up spraining his ankle. Now he's back about 90% or so and the run blocking has gotten worse.
He looked pretty fast against NY yesterday, he just lacked consistency from the O-Line.
