They are good. The best team in the NFC. We need to bring our A game and no turnovers,..

But they are do for a loss after winning 10 in a row, Purdy is do for a loss…

Just like some here are now saying the Bucs are trash when they picked them to beat us, if we beat the 49ers those same people who said a few weeks that the 49ers are a better team than us will say they are paper tigers. It's already happening with a known troll saying the 49ers are paper tigers. LMAO!

The 49ers are legit. Their passing game might be their only weakness, IMO. I think they are even better now with Purdy. They haven't lost in a long time so they are due.

I said we would win 30-20 against the Bucs and I'm sticking with that same score. History will repeat itself in San Francisco.

GO COWBOYS!

Are the 49ers better this year than last year?
yes. what they are doing with a 7th round rookie at QB is nothing short of phenomenal!

Every owner in the NFL should be looking at their front office and asking them would we be okay if we had to start a 7th rookie for half a season including playoffs. Not saying that should be the expectation...but all of these front offices that make excuses about the salary cap or protecting draft picks etc....look lazy when you see what they have been able to do.

This is a winnable game, we have to play clean football to beat the Niners on the road. We can't turn the ball over, have a bunch of penalties or miss any field goals. The defense is good enough to contain their offense as long as they don't get run over but is going to come down to Dak putting up enough points.
Yes need to limit penalties and turnovers...hopefully win the turnover battle. And most importantly, get out to a fast start. If we can make it to halftime with a lead or down by 4 or less, we're in good shape to steal it at the end.

The good thing is we will know who we are playing if we win on Saturday night. Don’t you think it will give them a little motivation if the Gents somehow advance? That’s a home NFC Title game if that happens!
I see this as a reasonably probable scenario.

I would say 49ers are the odds on favorite to get to the SB. If you had the matchup Eagles vs 49er who would you take? Cowboys have a tall task but at least now I feel they are ready to meet the challenge. For me I did not look at Tampa as some insurmountable task but what I did see is this team went out and handled their business in impressive fashion removing a lot of doubts of their ability to win in post season, to win on the road. I think they head into SF will a lot more confidence in themselves
Eagles have holes but I think the Eagles with Hurts beats the 49ers if they play. Hopefully both get booted this round though.

If the Cowboys get out to a lead and the 9ers have to pass, how confident do you feel about a Cowboys win.

49ers are the whole package, except I keep expecting the rookie to have a game where he looks like a rookie.
I assume that will eventually happen.
He's played great but has also had a lot of good breaks
I think the rookie has to play like a rook
At some point.

It's honestly reminiscent of the Cowboys when Dak was a rookie. All the pieces around Purdy are strong. They don't have to rely on him to win every week. They just need good solid play out of him.

49ers bullied us last year on both sides of the football. Very tough matchup.
Honestly, that actually gives me some hope. I don’t think SF is going to be or present anything greatly different than last year, except having a rookie, 7th round QB at the helm. I don’t think Dallas will play as near-perfect as they did last night, but they’ll play better than they did last year. Especially in the area of penalties (Weed Boy and Gas Mask Man being gone helps). SF is, and should be, favored, but I like our chances this year. I didn’t feel that way after the Major Tuddys debacle.

Very reminiscent. I think the difference is Shanahan is a far better coach than Garrett...and Dak did not win a playoff game that year. Purdy already has...and I would not be shocked if they make the Super Bowl with this kid. Of course I hope they don't, because that would mean they beat us...but they look strong.

The 49ers definitely benefit from a soft schedule, but so did the Eagles and Cowboys. Can't fault them for that, and frankly Sept/Oct and even Nov are ancient history.

My biggest concern is that their offensive system/philosophy is exactly what damages the Cowboys defensively on a regular basis. Misdirection, running around the edge, neutralizing aggressive DEs/Edge rushers and the horizontal attack have been VERY difficult for Dallas to defend. They don't have the personnel to man up to Deebo/Aiyuk/Kittle due to injuries, but risk eating the cheese if they play zone. CMC can carve through them and just when you think you have the right play to stop the run, they can call a play that opens up someone downfield. Their offense is just so much better than the Buccaneers it isn't even funny.

Defensively, we know they can get it done. The pass rush is top 3 if not the best. BUT - I think the Cowboys can score points. They learned from last year a little bit and I think that if the 49ers try to just take away Lamb and Schulz that Gallup finally looks good, Hilton can hurt them and Pollard can get some yards.

This is one of the few games I hope we lose the coin toss and get the ball to start. A TD on the opening drive would be huge to show the team that they can move the ball.

The 9ers are going to be tough in the trenches, and that’s usually our kryptonite. On the other hand how good are the 9ers?

The Cowboys have played in a very surprisingly tough NFCE division this year. Three of the for NFCE teams have made the final 4 in the playoffs.

Dallas’ schedule included games against:

(Regular season only)
Tampa Bay (playoffs). L
Eagles x2 (playoffs) L/W
Giants x2. W
Bengals W
Jaguars L
Minnesota W

About half of their games have been against playoff teams.

I am sure there are some additional examples that I am forgetting, but I think you get the drift.

The Eagles, Giants, Jaguars, and Bengals are all in the final 4 of the playoffs in their respective divisions.

The 9’ers have played in a weak division. Maybe the 9ers are the juggernaut that the media is proclaiming them to be. But when it’s crunch time, if the game is close, I would not want to be fielding a rookie qb.

I’m not sure whether the playing time that Purdy has received is a help to him (experience) or a detriment (teams are starting to get more and more tape on him).

If this were a Garrett coached team, I would be very concerned about this matchup. But with MM calling the shots, I have to think the fact that Purdy is a rookie will be a significant factor in this game.
they have won 11 games in a row. that's nothing to sneeze at. they are getting healthier. their defense is good. they have taken care of business and gotten better over the course of the season.

they are tough against the run. they can also run the ball well.

its not going to be an easy game, on the road, in their house, on grass.

Having a decent defense might help too,,,,

He looked shaky early last week. Hopefully he’s shaky all game on Sunday.
