Does he have what it takes to win the big game?

Yes or no?

Yes. He can win the big game.

Now ask me if his team can win the big game and I'll tell you I do not know. :D They need to prove they can win the trenches as well as protect the football and avoid costly mistakes. These are the unknowns.

LOL at you writing (only 9 years)

and for MR. I love how it's "11 years" Lol. He's actually played starting qb 7 seasons. And actually only 4 seasons where he started all 16. Two can play the numbers game

If it were any other QB besides Romo, you be scoffing at that record wouldn't you?

Geez people, lets just hope the guy can get it done if he has the chance this year.

I'm sure some would blame Romo for every problem in the world. He is a damn good QB he does not put up the numbers out of luck. This team has had issues both offense and defense for a while and while Romo shares in the blame he is far from the problems this team has had. I hope he and this team can win a championship but in terms of having a top QB the Cowboys have that.

and the simple fact he has only been in the league for 9 years hard to blame him for years he was not even in the NFL. lol

Count again. 03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12

10 years already.

Oh, yes, he conceivably could if the stars align just right, but it is highly unlikely.

I don't scoff at other good qbs either. There's not that many of them it's a unique job and few do it well. But I do compare to defend Romo against lunacy. Matty "Ice" first round pick 1-4 in playoffs. One loss was 24-2. Another he coughed up a 17 pt lead with two second half turnovers. Now would I say Ryan can NEVER win the big games? No that would be foolish he certainty can he's good and he has a very good team around him.

Same goes for Romo. He is more than good enough

Look at ole Catch17 slowly coming over to the dark side. :D

lol you always say this.

I think Romo is a really good QB but im just to that point where I concede that he hasn't got the job done.

That Commanders game took some of my confidence in him. I really thought we were past a lot of those garbage throws.

Romo, and the Cowboys, need to get confident late in the year instead of sitting back and waiting for something bad to happen.

Go impose your will on some teams and bring that stinkin Lombardi back to Dallas.

The only issue I have with Tony are turnovers. He is careless with the football. But the team doesn't create turnovers so it's a team issue.

I honestly think he can. I think sometimes Romo is a little too nonchalant about winning and closing out games. But I think if given the opportunity to play with the right people, and be coached by the right person, he can do whatever he wants in the league.

There is only one catch to this. I think his chances of winning a SB are slim as long as Jason Garrett is the coach. But I'll be rooting for the Cowboys anyway.

Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl; that alone makes this conversation unnecessary.

It certainly does but I don't think we need to scrape the bottom of the barrel to make the point. Romo is a heck of a QB, his career stats point that out, including his incredibly high 4th quarter rating. Anyone who dismisses Romo as an average QB has no clue, no evidence to back it up, and doesn't deserve respect. I mean, how can they be so stupid and ignorant?

Orrr....

They could just think that they don't think he can win the big game. And, they think this because they have had their hearts ripped out by this guy and just don't have the faith in him any longer. They hope he does win it all, pray he can win it all. They just don't see it.

Nothing "stupid" or "ignorant" about that, just as it isn't "blind homerism" if some think he can. Difference of opinions.

How is it blind homerism if the data fully supports the stance that he is an upper echelon QB? Sorry all of that darn data is so confusing to some. No, those saying he can't win the big game just don't have a clue, don't have any concept of how to look at what is very significant data at this point and are sheep that simply regurgitate what the mass media feeds them. It's really quite sad.

I never stated was to be Blind homerism. Just like it isn't ignorant or stupid if someone thinks he can't do it.

What's quite sad is you can't see the other side of the mountain looking through a glass stomach.

Hey, I just gotta rib you from time to time since you did it to me back in the day because of my stance on Romo. I was just being honest with my opinion. I actually like Romo as a person and think he is very athletically gifted it's just I worry about what is going on in that noggin sometimes. I also understand why so many fans love him. We went a decade with HORRIBLE QB's and Romo looked like a savior at the beginning and is much much better than what we had. That really just made people love him and be blind to his shortcomings. At the end of the day, my love for a player doesn't over ride my desire for the Cowboys to win a super bowl.
