How has Randy looked?

Truly, he's had 3 sacks in 3 games... which is a pro bowl level of production in the regular season (16 sacks in 16 games).

Gregory has been getting his sacks in limited playing time because so many players who will not be on the team are getting play time. Had Randy been playing the whole game, you'd think he'd have a few more.

Not to mention that I have seen two defensive penalties that have wiped out what would have been two more sacks for Gregory. Add in a couple of holding penalties on the OL trying to stop him and another sack or two likely would have come had they not held.

So, in playing part time in 3 pre season games, Gregory very easily could have been sitting there with 5 or 6 sacks, and that isn't much of a stretch.

Of course, he is playing in preseason games so he likely played some against some back ups, but even then it is a very impressive feat. And I do know some of his sacks have come against starting players too.

If you step back and take a global view of Randy's preseason, you can't help but be extremely impressed with him and what he's been able to do. He has drawn raves from Garrett and Marinelli, neither of who hand out praise very often. Even the media, who tend to take a more cynical view of things, have been raving about Gregory's play in games as well as in practices.

Had he been the Cowboys first round pick everyone would be thrilled with him. Getting him at 60 overall and watching him tear it up all camp long has people beyond thrilled... except for Giants, Eagles, and Commanders fans, of course.

As impressive as he has been with the pass rush, and I think this would get missed by a lot of people, he has been solid against the run. One thing that he has demonstrated is a keen understanding of leverage. He is able to use his long arms to lock out opposing linemen, and avoid getting blown off the ball. It's an impressive trait for such a young player.

NFL QBs are on notice. The Sack Man is coming to your backfield soon.

Odell Beckham, nah, Eli can't throw on his back. Chip Kelly's and his offense, what offense, eagles fans will treat him worse than they do Santa Claus. RG3, we know the real reason he don't want to win the QB job. He likes to run, but he will be running for his life.

Across from him DeMarcus Lawrence has looked bigger, faster and stronger too. So jacked to see these guys develop

Totally agree. In the play against Minn where Gregory was credited with a sack, DLaw came from the other side of the field, through the pocket and was a second away from catching a mobile QB almost where the LT had lined up. On the same play Tyrone Crawford and the other DT (I believe Hardy) had collapsed the pocket.

Not taking anything away from Gregory but this season we are going to have a lot of above average pass rushers on the field at the same time.

He's looked great. Speed to get around the edge and inside, and the power to put offensive linemen on roller skates.

Should be a fun year watching him.

Really excited to see the "Rushmen" package on the field with Gregory, Hardy, Crawford, and Lawrence.

He's looked really, really, good. I don't know what his weight currently is, but he plays way stronger than his size would indicate. He also moves fast off the ball, with great closing speed to the quarterback. If he keeps his head together, the sky is the limit for this young man. He might wear down versus the run if he has to play in the base a lot, but as a pass rusher, he is day one ready freddy to go.

I really like this review Jack.

Oh dear - the pessimist is about to come out in me.

I just remember how many times Ware was held with no flags thrown. I hope that doesn't happen with Gregory.
