He will not start so should not wear down.

I used "if" because I meant it in a theoretical way. We all know the plan isn't to start him in the base and use him as an every down player right now. I was just talking about how he might not hold up if he was forced to play a lot of downs in the base due to injuries or something happening to the main defensive ends. That's all. Apologies if what I wrote didn't make sense. It wouldn't be the first time that happened. Cheers!

Totally agree. In the play against Minn where Gregory was credited with a sack, DLaw came from the other side of the field, through the pocket and was a second away from catching a mobile QB almost where the LT had lined up. On the same play Tyrone Crawford and the other DT (I believe Hardy) had collapsed the pocket.

Not taking anything away from Gregory but this season we are going to have a lot of above average pass rushers on the field at the same time.

Totally agree. DLaw looks like a force to be reckoned with. Our young defensive ends could both end up being scary good. I love it. I think the days of being beaten by one legged quarterbacks has come to an end.

If we posters are arguing who should get credited with the sacks when the regular season arrives - that would be a good thing.

A VERY GOOD THING!!!

It's fun watching games where the offense doesn't have 10 hours to throw. HUGE difference compared to last year.

Gregory was a steal.

Looks like a guy who should run into 8-10 sacks as an NFL rookie. Pretty impressive.

My obsession with wanting Aaron Donald is over. We finally have a passrush that we all can be proud of.

I really think he looks like Charles Haley in San Fran in the late 80's. I think I would see the resemblance even if the jersey numbers were different. Haley had that strength, length and flexibility that Gregory now has. DeMarcus Ware was a little different than those two.

I was so excited when he fell to Dallas. Steal of the draft to me, only because he fell out of the 1st rd. The only reason I've watched pre-season is to see how our pass rush is. I'm really excited about this season.

I'm excited about Gregory, the concerns I had he is answering it in a positive way. His ability to get after the QB was never in doubt. Had it not been for a holding call in the secondary Gregory would have 4 sacks right now.

i think he was treated really unfairly based on the mistakes he made. and the whole "mental health issues" thing is the center of that.

he honestly seems and sounds like a great kid. and he looks like a great player.

White, Johnson, or Gregory? :) Seriously, though, he looks like a complete stud when facing the backups from other teams. Doesn't look too bad against better competition as well. As long as he stays away from suspensions, he is looking like an absolute steal in the 2nd round.

He has gotten sacks against starting Probowl LTs. It's not just backups he is beating, good starters as well
