Any news? He's a weird back, at times he can take a game over and others he's non existent.

Interesting. A-Train is a big back.

From listening to some of the game the other night - the Bears were shifting to a power running game.

I thought this guy was a power runner?

I think the word on him is that he's a good between the tackles runner, but he's not a special runner, if that makes sense.

In addition to that, his years in Chicago were affected by coaching changes and QB play. Watching the HOF game last night, they've had worse QB issues than we could ever imagine. 15 starting QBs since 96, I believe.

my question is, how is he doing on special teams?

b/c i keep reading he's going to have to dazzle in that area in order to make the team.

I wonder if he beats out Barber as the #2 guy then...considering his lack of wheels...
But, Barber sounds raw so far.

Barber is a 3rd down back. ATrain can carry the load full time if needed. Those are BPs views.

are those veiws that came from BP himself? j/w

I am pretty certain Parcells said he is not goign to run Atrain very much, he know what he bring to the table an dknows he can handle the load and that there is no reason to wear him down now. He wants to give more carries to Thompson and MBIII. Atrain has locked his spot up already.
