How important to Cowboys avoiding 2-4?

I certainly don’t have any confidence heading to Green Bay after our loss at home to Tampa.

Our division appears to certainly be getable this year but falling to 2-4 the pressure will continue to grow.

So how big is this game Sunday night ?
Sunday night is extremely important to me for Sunday night only. We have all seen this version of the Cowboys.

I suspect it's pretty important, but not as important as a week 17 game that you have to win to get into the playoffs. If this team goes in there and lays the same kind of egg that it laid against the Bucs, it will kill the players' belief in the team. On the other hand, if they go in and show they can play well, and even win, then maybe they can hang in there in the NFC East. The Commanders and the Eagles aren't looking very good so far. The Giants look a lot better, but they're definitely capable of making bonehead plays, and they did so in their tie with the Commanders.

Another thing is this: If there's any chance that Christian Parker's defense will become any good, it needs time to gel, and a victory would boost their confidence. I'm not holding my breath that they'll develop into a good unit, but if there's even a chance of it happening, they can't get trashed by the opponent this week.

I think another embarrassing loss would hurt this team way more than a loss in which they played great, but the other team just made a few more plays. A win would at least keep them on track with a chance.

I’m so down on the season already…..I mean even when our O plays well, our D is so damn bad there’s a good chance we lose…..even if we did sneak into the playoffs, which I doubt, we would be out quick. This team, especially the D, doesn’t look hungry, not coached will…..even players who played well for other teams are worse here. It’s like a culture of mediocrity.

The NFC Least is still wide open as I think the Giants have some very tough opponents still to face besides divisional matchups.

Everybody in the division is meh "at best."
Washington won this same NFC Least in 2020 at 7-9.

THATs currently the state of the whole NFC Least.

Big difference between 3-3 and 2-4.....the latter would be a enormous uphill climb just to remain mediocre.

That's about it. Come Sunday, I'll root for the win for every game; that is just how I am. Right now, with horrible coaches, an abysmal defense, and a Quarterback who can be alright in the regular season but has already shown signs that he can't handle pressure and makes bad decisions. Well, I just don't see us doing much more but making the Jets draft pick look more or less attractive for them.
