This statement is absurd. Management can make a lot of stupid decisions. Especially ours. To imply that a players accountability level is in no way related to the percent of the salary cap that they consume is the way a child would look at things.

It's not related unless you're a fan who refuses to understand market value. It also doesn't account for the rookie contracts.
 
He’s not better than Geno but Seattle is about to pay him 30-40 million per.

Standard of QB play is just shocking right now.

Other than his one playoff win, Jackson has stunk in the playoffs when he’s been available. He’s been injured the last half of the past two seasons. Herbert was a big reason his team blew a 27 point lead against Jacksonville in the playoffs.

It's not about football; it's about charts and demographics. It's who Jerry can sell him to.
 
Stafford last year was "The one thing the RAMS NEEDED!!!" alot of people said the Rams added alot more than just Stafford, this year those other players are not there and Stafford proved to not be the one thing the Rams needed....crazy stuff.

I used to support Dak as well but no longer believe he's the answer for us, but I'm not dumb or petty enough to say the man shouldn't be on that list based upon one bad year he's had with turnovers.

I can't even take your list seriously for one simple fact...

You have Stafford on there.... Stafford hadn't won his first playoff game until his 11th season in the NFL. Then... he got onto a stacked Rams team and got carried to a Superbowl trophy. Dak definitely would have won a Superbowl with that same great Rams team that season.

And just to let you know how good that Rams team were.... Stafford led the NFL in interceptions the year the Rams won the Superbowl, so they won inspite of Stafford.


Now Herbert is a very good quarterback, but has he won a playoff game yet?? This same time in Herbert's career, Dak already won a playoff game, but Herbert didn't.

Now Josh Allen is definitely a better quarterback than Dak, hands down. But... isn't this the same Josh Allen who got trashed by the Vikings?? The same Vikings team that Dak led us to a blowout over??

Now Dak played under Garrett and Kellen Moore..... tell me which one of the offensive coordinators of the quarterbacks on that list is Garrett and Kellen Moore better than in play design and situational football in-game adjustments......

10 year VLM is 1.165 mil
that plus 25 mill plus 1 mil in performance incentives..
two year with 2nd year team option

Good answer.

Salary cap hits of players is of ultra importance. Teams give up draft picks to dump salaries. Overpaying players has cost us dearly, as we often had poor backups and no plan if a player went down.
 
Remember, very few QBs have had the stability around this dude to prevent stinkers. He just went through year 7 of an offense tweeked to his skill-set. If he went to a franchise that was drafting in a QB early in the first round, he'd be out of the league by now.

Plus, he pretty much ran his OWN offense.. Dak-zealots were telling us, before he returned, that Moore just needs to keep the same game management offense of Rush with him, and they'll just get the big play ability. How did that work out...
