That's a big stretch. "Broke" and "back" have a far different meaning than "going up to brokeback mountain."

Depends on what part of the vertebrae(back bone) he broke. There are some parts that would require no surgery at all. He may need fusion to stabilize the spine. If so the 2-3 months depending on the severity and numbers of vertebrae involved. Does anyone know what levels he broke and what part of the bone. But it's a good sign for faster recorvery that he was still able to move everything right after it happened. ( sorry if there are typos. I'm typing this on my phone) hope it helps.
