How long until we see a "billion" dollar player?

I know in Soccer that a team (Real Madrid) just payed 131 million dollars just to talk to Christiano Ronaldo.

They said Tiger Woods at this pace will break one billion sometime in the next 20 years, so it will happen.

My guess is Lebron will sign a 250-300 million dollar contract next year, add what he's already made (100+ million with endorsements), and that will put him 400+ million. I'm sure if he'll play another 10 years and make another 20-30 million a year in endorsements, he'd be knocking on the door at the end of his career in the 750 million range.

Sickening, ain't it?

I don't think someone "eventually earning" a billion should be in discussion here.

I thought this was about a player in the future signing ONE contract worth a billion dollars, and that is NEVER happening.

Anyone who says never = thats funny.

Players made dirt not that long ago. Look at them now. Mediocre players are making ALOT of money.

1 Billion will happen.

I had heard that Tiger was either projected or in fact would be a 1 billion dollar man.
