How long will it take?

When Owens loses it, and he will, I wonder how long it will take before all his bandwagon fans turn on him.

All you people who welcomed him with open arms and bought his jersey, bobble-head, and book. You all forgave him, made excuses for him, re-wrote history for him, and turned a blind eye towards everything he has done.

Well folks, nothing has changed with him, NOTHING! He is still all about T.O. and could care less about his teammates. He comes out last so that he can make his grand entrance. When called to a meeting with his position coach he sits with the defense. When he doesn't get the ball he calls it to everyones attention.

This is San Fran and Philly all over again folks because nothing has changed with Owens. My other question is, why did you think it would?

I pray that I am wrong but I am very confident that I'm not because we see the exact same pattern playing out all over again. So how long before you toss that #81 jsersey into the rag pile?

I will be very quick not to say I told you so, stay out of all threads involving him and ignoring the situation while it goes away.

I will be very quick to do all those things.

Because it's useless. Much like this thread.

makes no difference to me- i hated him before, i hate him now, and I will hate him the future.

How many "Cowboy" fans are secretly hoping for Owens to blow a gasket so they can be proven "right"? It's obvious that every single thing the guy does is going to get so overblown it's not even funny.

This should be stickied. I disapprove of him wholeheartedly, but I pray everyday that he continues to play good little soldier a la Keyshawn Johnson, so that by next season I can at least cheer his touchdowns without feeling queasy.

Am I the only one on this forum that likes TO? Jeez, we all roared when Michael Irvin scored his TDs, but we can't accept TO? Believe me, we don't know anything about most of these players. Even then, we cheer for players because of an image they present on camera. Get over it. Cheer your team and let God worry about their life outside of football.

I wouldn't care about what Owens did if his actions didn't affect what happened in football (like Irvin). That's the whole point.

this seems rather knee-jerkish since this is a "hearsay" type report that he didn't join his coach and had words with Parcells. It has not been reported anywhere but on that one article from the site I think is garbage anyhow.

I think the OP is just looking for something to hate him for.

I agree with ya Thump. I'm afraid he HASN'T changed. I hope he has, of course, but I don't think he has. The whole sitting down with the defense alarmed me, I must admit.

and where exactly is this quote from Heavy? not doubting you. just not finding a source anywhere.

OK, what has he done to distract our team?
So, if Philly had paid him, do you think he would have gone crazy? So, do you not think Philly is cheap and that TO didn't deserve to be paid like an elite WR?

TO gets a clean slate w/ me until he gives me a reason to think otherwise. Maybe we should spend more time talking about the distraction of our players getting shot at.

There's an "I told you so" waiting for every addition / non-addition this team made.

Mike Vanderjagt vs. Adam Vinatieri.

Terrell Owens.

Kyle Kosier.

Releasing Larry Allen.

Drafting Bobby Carpenter and passing on Manny Lawson.

DeMarcus Ware vs. Shawn Merriman.

Those waiting to throw their "I told you so's" will have ample opportunity this -- and every -- season.

Owens is but one piece of that puzzle.

thumper, what it all comes down to me is this.

free agency has ruined sports.....we can either quit watching or still be loyal as difficult as it can be at times.

the draft choices of the post jimmy johnson era sicken me way more than acquiring a horse who is going to help us win the superbowl this year.

i loved michael irvin when he played for us but damn...

having said that... i will never turn my back on the dallas cowboys.

i can handle terrell owens way more than i can handle deion sanders any day of the week.

ah, how poignant, Bambi & Thumper fretting about TO wearin the star.....

Can we at least wait for one preseason game?
I'd be worried if these guys DIDN'T blow a gasket every now & then.
2 a days suck. I can only imagine what a BP training camp is like.
These guys probably can't WAIT to kill someone with a different uni....

I told you about Landon Trusty.

That is funny, because Parcells actually out of nowhere talked about Manny Lawson yesterday. Said in the end he didn't weight enough to pick but really thought highly of him. I won't second guess Parcells especially on a LB pick however I would of loved to seen Lawson in a Cowboy uniform.

Listen. If T.O. really did sit with the defense, it is alarming. I hate to say it, but it's worse if its him than it is for other players. I know, it isn't fair. It's just something about his past.

I think we made a good choice signing T.O. I just hope he won't go crazy on us. To tell you the truth, I don't even believe those reports of him sitting with the Defense. The media would've blown up by now, AND he's already had alot of chemistry with the rest of the players.

If he did though, I would be alarmed if something like that happens again in TC. It is TC for goodness sakes, people shouldn't get too mad about things like that.

Post of the Day.

Ewww, TO sits with the defense. Story at eleven.

Give me a break. Tomorrow's story, T.O. has tea with special teams.
