Absolutely he does.

This is just being a flaming ignoramus, though. Like I said earlier, when DW observed that he just dropped a turd in the room and bolted, this is what he does (thread history). That's just baiting and pathetic. So, he can keep his right to make BS threads like this (like anything TO has done can be equated to PacMan and Chris Henry and Tank Johnson..... moron) - I think the entire board has the right to flame the **** out of him. ;)

Cuz this is beyond stupid.

Be careful, you wouldnt want to generalize :banghead: .

FWIW, I thought your comment yesterday was unnecessary, too. Nothing wrong with it, and I'm sure it wasn't meant with ill-intentions, but whatever. It's like when people come into a thread and ***** (unfoundedly) about the hypocrisy of the board, when really they're only talking about a vocal minority. I like to contribute to the board, and consider myself at least a "part" of it, so I do get cranky if I see unfair generalizations that don't apply to me, or most of the board members.

To revise my statement, instead of "entire board" I should have put "anyone who wants to."

Additionally, the thread starter is an attention *****. he hates TO, but he's just like him.

i usually dont get involved in these spitting contests, but i will say this: I do enjoy watching T.O. play, without a doubt. I think he brings personality and explosiveness to the field every game, that feeling like at any moment something special might happen. I also think it makes teams harder to devise defensive gameplans to stop us because you need to dedicate extra defenders to pay attention to him leaving other targets wide open. Do I condone all the antics and off-field issues that go on..NO of course i dont. But did he shoot someone, do steroids, get caught with guns, flunk a drug test, anything criminal?? No, would be that answer. Michael Irvin got caught with hookers and caught doing cocaine..did that take away from what he brought to the field and why we loved and appreciated him? No, it didnt. Should we take the playmaker out of the ring of honor for what he did? i like T.O. you dont have to, but i love the dynamic that he brings to the field.

Michael Irvin's off the field issues did affect the Cowboys, in fact, I can think of one instance where there were some false accusations of him and Erik Williams right before a playoff game that really distracted the team right before their loss. They had validity because of Irvin's troubles.

Owens brings the media circus with him, and that does take away from his contributions to the team. It does take away from what he brings on the field. Character goes beyond avoiding criminal acts.

Character is also a man made designation. While I may not like how a personal handles himself, the only thing I am outright against it when someones actions brings phyical harm to someone else. Beyond that, it's all just a show. If the team decides they do not want this *distraction* on the team, or that it's adversely effecting the team, they will dispose of it. That apparently isn't the case with TO and the Cowboys. I apprecaited the 1,100 yards and 13 TDs he produced last year. As much as the media complained about TO's drops last year, he was still better than most other receivers. He was definitely an upgrade over Keyshawn Johnson in 2005.

Yeah but did you ***** and moan about Irvin as much as you do about TO? Did you threaten not to watch any Cowboys games simply because HE was on the team. Did you get into arguments with your wife over his off-the-field behavior?

Or did you revel in the fact that we were in the midst of a 3 SB in 4 year stretch, and, while maybe miffed at him for acting that way, put all of that out of your mind on Sundays, because you were a Cowboy fan and that's all that mattered?

You're a fine one to talk about condoning behavior; consider your own:

If you can make statements like this and go back on them, I guess the sky's the limit.

I very much dislike Owens the person, but I try to refrain from commenting about him (that's very hard sometimes). Yet, it must always be pointed out that the team should always go before the player--for the pro athlete AND fan. No one, including Owens, will EVER separate me from my fanship for this team. No one. There's nothing wrong with disliking a player, but if it causes you (not you, zeromaster) to stop watching games, etc., it's time that you re-evalute your priorities as well.

I can't believe this thread is still going. Why is it even given credence?

One word. The same word that BSPN feeds off of. Controversy.

Are you serious?

Spitting in someone's face is very disrespectful, but it's not jail sentencing behavior, like Pacman and Henry. Maybe Goodell gives him 1 game, if that, but the odds of it happening again are slim, imho.

Hopefully next year, Owens simply denies doing anything. His problem last year was admitting spitting in Mr. Overrated's face.

I see you have got that "next question" thing down pat!:laugh1:

Quite honestly I see another 3 year contract for Owens in the future. Jones will want him because he will STILL be a really WR in his mid-late 30's AND... with the NEW stadium... Jones will want all of his toys on display. Word!

Can you please add an "s" to your championship(_). ;)

What was I thinking leaving off that s??? Shame on me. :)
