Consider the OL in Dez's time too. The average yards would surely be much bigger if Romo had more time before delivering the ball.

Pretty lucky. He should have been a top 3 pick. IIRC, some mocks had him going number 1.

2 Jerry Rice (1985-1987) 200 rec 3575 yds 40 td
3 John Jefferson (1978-1980) 199 rec 3431 yds 36 td
4 Bob Hayes (1965-1967) 160 rec 3253 yds 35 td
5 Dez Bryant (2010-2012) 200 rec 2871 yds 27 td

When Bob Hayes played when the season was only 14 games. Really glad he played for the Cowboys!

Love having Dez on the team and believe he is poised to tear up the league this year!

Real lucky. This kid is going to be a straight up gamebreaker. And let's be real, he is still just a kid, a kid that is slowly but surely getting it as he becomes a MAN in the NFL, and look out. I personally believe he will shatter every Cowboys receiving record. He may possibly break into Jerry Rice territory when all is said and done. I truly believe that.

Here's the stat they flashed during the Bryant interview in the Texans/Cowboys preseason game:

Too bad that stat doesn't mean much, considering the different eras of football.
