Think of this.

What if you were a fan of theses guys.

There are 10 teams that have been to the Super Bowl (in years shown) and lost each time:

Minnesota Vikings (0-4) 1970, 1974, 1975, 1977
Buffalo Bills (0-4) consecutively 1991-1994
Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) 1982, 1989
Philadelphia Eagles (0-2) 1981, 2005
San Diego Chargers (0-1) 1995
Atlanta Falcons (0-1) 1999
Tennessee Titans (0-1) 2000
Carolina Panthers (0-1) 2004
Seattle Seahawks (0-1) 2006
Arizona Cardinals (0-1) 2009

There are 4 Teams that have never played in a Super Bowl :

Cleveland Browns
Detroit Lions
Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars

Our team gets bad press. They use the Cowboys as a punch line in some cases on national broadcasts. The local press is running a constant barrage of articles on what is wrong with the team.

If there was a question put to all the fans of the NFL on who they hate the most, I'd be willing to say Dallas wins that contest.

If there is a team fans generally enjoy losing that is not the arch rival of their team, Dallas would be it.

But...

There is this.

I know some of you think I despise this team. I do not.

There is a rich history that makes me very proud about being a Cowboy's fan. We all seem to have a notion that this team is picked on, sullied, slandered and made fun of.

But it is those trophies and the fact that Dallas is in the forefront when it comes to visibility that creates such a shate storm around this team.

I personally wouldn't have it any other way.

So let them talk. The fans of the teams listed above would swap places with us in a heartbeat.

We are damn lucky.

Indeed.

Miss the glory years though.

Yesterday just before the Cowboys & Skins games kicked off, both games were on the side-by-side big screens behind the bar at my BWW. On the left, Moose, wearing a SB ring. Immediately on the right, as if they were standing side by side, was Troy, also wearing a SB ring. That was sweet! :)

Seattle ones bs!! Stealers are the luckiest team ever. Look at the eagles game this year

There are fans here that haven't experienced the winning season.

I cannot imagine how tough that would be.

Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory days

That makes me feel ALOT better.

Are we back to our old rally cry, AT LEAST WE'RE NOT THE BENGALS.

Does that make us feel better now???

:banghead:

There are certainly teams that have it worse, but when you look at it we haven't won a Super Bowl in a really long time. Fifteen years. The Cowboys fan base has alot of younger fans like myself who never even got to witness any of those Super Bowls. That right there just kills me. I want it so bad and when I see other teams like our arch rival Giants win two Super Bowls in the last five seasons I mean that just makes me sick to my stomache.

One of my biggest fears is dying without having witnessed a Cowboys Super Bowl oans also seeing the other team in Texas, the Texans win their first Super Bowl before we win our sixth. There's several people in my family who have witnessed the Glory Years and I always ask them man what was it like? I asked some people on here too.

You know it's just so frustrating to not have really anything to brag about to opposing fans when they trash the Cowboys. I can't really say hey we won five Super Bowls because while we did I didn't even witness them and it was a very long time ago. It's ancient history at this point. I can't really talk trash or brag about my favorite football team until I actually see them witness a Super Bowl if that ever happens.

I don't remember the Super Bowls all that much...

I kinda remember XXX because my dad was so happy the 'Boys had finally beaten the Steelers in the Super Bowl. He really hates the Steelers.:laugh2:

No all I have are the wonderful memories of Dave Campo, Quincy Carter, the Hutch and the Drew Henson experiment.

Seriously the highlights of my fandom are Bill Parcells, the 2007 team and the discovery of Tony Romo.:(

Oh and the Bills game from what...2006?

Yeah, this is what we're reduced to.

Dust off yer old VHS tapes!

If you're a freshman in college, you've never seen the Cowboys win so much as a measly divisional playoff game.

Think about that.

The Cleveland Browns were once the most dominant team in the NFL, bar none. We're headed for that "way back when" syndrome ourselves if this keeps up.

I like in Bills country, there can't possibly be anything worse than being a Bills fan :laugh2:

We are already there. 16 years, 1 playoff team. That is a lifetime in the NFL.

Thanks, Jerry. :bang2:

1996, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2006, 2007, & 2009.

7 playoff teams. I post season win, in 2009, and another in 1996. 6 losses in between them.
