The eaglets have been way better than us for nearly a quarter of a century. Since 2000, the birds have won 16 playoff games including a SB, 3 NFC championship games and have won 5 divisional playoff games. I hate it, but it’s the sad truth.
In that same period, our cowboys have won 4 wild card games. Yeah, I’m sick of hearing about the eagles too. But let’s face it - they have been better than us for two and a half decades.
Unfortunately for you and fortunately for the Dallas Cowboys franchise you don't get the nitpick when to start and end the rivalries or use only 2000 as a starting point since they had bad start to that decade, but this really started back in 1960.. The Dallas Cowboys as a franchise has owned the eagles were better than the eagles and if you wanna say that recent history says that head to head and that for the division in the last five years the Cowboys have been as good I mean you just gonna forget they have only one Super Bowl is this is all about championships they've fallen short too many times...
I mean we might as well just use the lions and only go 2 years wow the lions have been blowing the doors off the Cowboys for two seasons oh wait a minute we beat them last year controversy or not like last night yeah they were given about 7 penalties that should have been called four that could have probably gave the Packers their win but yeah let's just stop nitpicking dates historically the Cowboys are a better team you can't edit out the three Super Bowls in the 90s that we actually won and they didn't the Cowboys were down at the beginning of the 2000s and they took advantage of it but it always comes in ebbs and flows but as far as a regular season goes win percentage head-to-head NFC East records the Cowboys are as good or better than the eagles so whenever we decide narratives and you get to just try to pick a date we can all cherry pick dates but it starts in 1960 and as a franchise the Dallas cowboy is a better franchise overall we've had a better regular season win percentage better championship wins and more Super Bowl appearances and wins that is a fact we can't take that away that is why we are America's team and that is why fans like me won't put up with the nonsense...
Fat they won one Super Bowl in 2017 and we wanna use 28 years we wanna use 30 years as these busted narratives because Oh my God the Cowboys have just been falling short the playoffs well if I count it right the eagles have had two long droughts in their history 1960 to 2017 far longer than the Dallas Cowboys 28 year drought 'cause they only won one Super Bowl and we're waiting on #6 Jerry's waiting on number 4 but let's keep cherry picking the Cowboys bad years to make your point 'cause we know you hate Jones family you hate Jerry because 60% of your new posts and your stories are just the same story written seven different ways to bang on Jerry and the ownership so we get where you're slanting your stories.
I'm not saying you're wrong I'm saying you've picked the wrong dates and you gotta go by franchises not recent history it is all history you can't erase history this is not cancel culture area we're not taking down statues we're not forgetting about Jimmy and we're not forgetting about landry when we pounced all over the eagles and their ONE Lonely trophy in their case and we have 5.
And I'm going to end on this literally... Some of us use perspective and common sense when we have these debates we get it that little area you pick you're right if you wanna pick that date up until now Cowboys have been lacking in playoff success but when we're gonna use these narratives the Dallas Cowboys still with this drought and with all these problems are one of only three teams in the NFL since 1989 to have three or more Super Bowl wins that's it so the eagles are on our tail they aren't even in the conversation because they have not taken advantage of these times they won with a backup quarterback they got lucky it happens and the last time they were to a Super Bowl 3 years ago whenever it was they also got lucky they get a giants team which we beat like 16 straight times and then they get a very injured no quarterback let San Francisco team and they still couldn't win the Super bowl it is about championships and like the Kansas City Chiefs which I love to use because they took 56 years between their Super Bowl wins but eventually it came back and ours is only yet going on 30 years I'm not putting the eagles ahead of the Cowboys ever and the fact that you're doing so is an embarrassment to all Cowboys nation that you like to write narratives just to get conversations going we call it content we understand social media you're part of the forums inner circle that writes stories and you sure picks 60% of your stories is all against Jerry Jones and ownership we get the frustration but you know what it just smells of raiding grabs if you wanna know what that is that's like there's 100 Facebook group pages that have the Cowboys in their name there's as many forums that have Cowboys in their name just about every sports media network like ESPN and others at least have a segment a week about the Dallas Cowboys no matter how good bad or indifferent anybody is they use the Cowboys to create content they create stories that's what makes them America's team nobody cares about the eagles unless they happen to be on a win streak..
I frankly will never give the eagles or anybody in the NFC East or the Packers or the Pittsburgh Steelers any flowers they can all lick my feet that's the best cut down I can do without getting benched so yeah bow down to the Dallas Cowboys historical franchise with two dynasties that you can't cancel culture out by starting the year 2000 we were not a start up team that would be the Houston Texans the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans and the Jaguars and I don't know who else you wanna go back and reset them you can...
Don't end on that note the poor Houston Texans the new startup has tried to re identify themselves three times as the Oilers Texans and the Titans and not one of them have a damn Super Bowl among them...
Go Cowboys!
