I don't think 1 game went by where a pass did not hit one of our D players in the hands, chest or helmet. I bet there were 20 possible INTs that we dropped this year. We get even 1/3 of them and its a different season. Instead of tip drills, we need pass CATCHING drills for the D!!!

A bunch! Too many. They are game changers for sure.

there's a reason guys usually end up at DB you know that right?

the drops stink, but they arnt the biggest issues...no pass rush and poor OL play are still the biggest issues and have been for years

We? I didn't drop any myself. But I'm just a fan.

3 drops alone in the Seattle game.

1) Carp short pass hit him hard and quick.

2) Tnew in the endzone, easiest catch of all 3. Anouncers Al praised him for breaking up the pass, didn't mention posible INT because he hates the Boys.

3) A. Glenn jumped a pass in the middle.

Did I miss any ?

I dont think the drops are being called an issue. But they did change the outcome of a few games. After an almost INT... opposing teams gets 1st down.

probably almost if not more than as many passes T.O. dropped

Hey it only took 6 posts to turn this into a T.O. thread - congratulations!

Great post. I have noticed this as well. It seems almost every game Glenn, BJ (that's Brady James), etc... are always getting hit with the ball. Although the deflection is helpful the int is a game changer

Someone always has to express their opionion when it is not warranted.

Jarv, at least one of the 3 potential INT's you mentioned re: Sat. night in Seattle wouldve taken points off the board, resulting in a Cowboys win, if I figure correctly. I believe after the Carpenter drop, Brown kicked a FG 2 plays later. TNew's missed int would have stopped a TD.

Alas, spilled milk.

Carpenter's almost pick looked similar to Ware's made pick. He was too close to really make a catch. How many of those can we expect per year.... we had one already... the other possible picks were more catchable IMO

We had 3 dropped against the Lions as well I believe, and a 4th (with a TD) called back on a BS penalty.

I can not really remember any games that we did NOT have a shot at a INT.

Yeah thats why I refuse to just put the whole defensive scheme problem on Zim. We were either in position to make an INT or if we were BURNT we were close on alot of plays(to making them). Give some credit to opposing offenses for executing too... its not unreasonable.

I think you can ask any team's fans whether they dropped more INTs than opposing teams and the answer will always be "our team did" -- I remember lots of Cowboy drops -- why? Because I thought about them for a while -- e.g."if only James holds on to that ball we would have ...."

We don't think about the other team's drops that way. It is just relief and on to the next play.

So I'm not buying that we dropped any more than is usual.

The Newman drop in the Seattle game made me mad because he celebrated like he had done some terrific thing.

you mean like breaking up a pass?

Good for him for being in position to break up the pass... but bad for him for letting an easy pick sail right through his hands.

That's a net error in my book... and not something worth whooping and hollering about.

That's bush-league... aka Carlos Rogers territory.

The Commanders lead the league in dropped interceptions.

Carlos Rogers lead all CB's in dropped INT's with 9.

Where are you getting these stats? Or are you doing just as a poster said before by saying "our team leads in dropped INT's?"
