How many more seasons do we give Dak?

So many things wrong with this team...terrible front office moves. The OL sucks and I don't think will ever be great again, Dak is no good, and we have the worst WRs in the league.

The front office got arrogant in thinking Dak could turn JAG WRs into stars

Chris Jones is still good.

It's amazing what a couple million in your pocket and job security regardless of performance can do to your edge.

More like 5 billion.

he has the length of his rookie deal...nothing more til proven other wise.

Personally, I think before we start blowing away Dak there are a few questions I have for the Cowboys braintrust, namely that red headed idiot and that imbecile who calls himself the GM

1. Why if we have an offense that requires a pocket passer would you draft a QB who has never been such a thing in his entire career prior to the NFL?
2. If you need a mobile QB why is the QB not allowed to run and is being forced to be a pocket passer?

I find it hard to believe that the above two have anything to do with Dak. If the offensive scheme requires that you have a QB that is one that can stand in the pocket and deliver a strike then why not draft that? Otherwise, if we need a mobile QB, why have we drafted that and then called plays that stifle that? Dak isn't responsible for calling plays and as much people hate the guy I doubt a 3rd year QB is making decisions like let me become a pocket passer. Also notice that his play regressed after Tony Romo left. After that he has had Wade Wilson for one year and now has Kellen Moore as QB coach, and oh look, his play resembles Kellen Moore.

We’re going to give Dak 3 or 4 more years. He’s popular. We’ll make other excuses and scapegoats.

He was popular...not so much anymore.

The rest of the NFC East would be estatic if the Jones family wants to keep him around that long, but I can’t see any team committing to a guy with his limitations

Oh please... You don't know what your talking about ... Kellen Moore is a proven Genius Football mind, as well as Garrett .

You can give Jason Garrett the 199th pick in the 6th round for a QB and he will make that QB go to the superbowl 8 times ... he is practically Belicheat 2.0

:lmao:

I'm done with Dak. I don't care if I irritate someone...I like the guy...But this team is limited with a glorified running back and the O-Line sucks too...I agree but Romo played with a sucky line for years...I just wanna see a guy who can complete a pass over 10 yards. If he succeeds with another team I'm good with that but I just can't stand watching Dak anymore... I want an actual Quarterback

I wanted Tom Moore to be our QB coach...still do.
If he couldn't "fix this ****" no one could.
Dak shares the responsibility but what the hell is Kellen Moore teaching?....none of our QBs looked good...from Dak to Rush to Mike White.
They should've hired a REAL QB coach.

That's what Jerry wanted, a puppet who could give him the performance of a Belicheck but without the strong personality to challenge him. What he got was a puppet alright, the rest I suppose can be negotiated by simply optics and standing on the sidelines and spitting. That should be enough.

Before drafting for a better QB. I'm been one of his biggest supporters and defenders. But, it's disappointing and discouraging. If Dak can't get it done, I'm open to getting another QB to compete for the starting job against him.
I believed in him, but he's done. He has had his chance and has under-performed, been under-prepared, and undone by an inept offensive scheme. **** can the HC and OC.

While I get your reasoning to move on from Dak, there is one big flaw in your reasoning and that starts with the simple fact that Jerry Jones and his cadre of inept clowns will be the one picking the next QB. What in the last 20+ years gives you any reason to hope that what comes behind Dak is going to be better?
