and how many failed drug tests from other teams have been swept under the carpet? With this obvious conspiracy to nail Zeke and the Cowboys and the way the Dez catch went down, I have no trust in the league to provide fairness to the Dallas Cowboys.

We have all seen how the NY Giants can have the worst OL in the league and yet never get called for holding penalties against us (even when DeMarcus Ware was a dominating player he never got a call against the Giants).

Also, think about how the Packer game ended last year with David Irving being held by not one player but THREE! A ref was right there on the play but never threw his flag.

I also heard from someone who knows someone who last year worked in the NFL office that claims that LeVeon Bell failed a drug test last season that would have resulted in a 10 game suspension, but it was quietly swept under the carpet. How often does this happen? It may not be a coincidence that the Cowboys always lead the league in suspensions.

I haven't trusted this league for awhile now and my trust is now at an all-time low. And like I've said in the past; "The Cowboys will never win a Super Bowl as long as Roger Goodell and John Mara are running the league".

Yea. No.

I suspect all our drug suspensions have been legit. There are actual failed tests.

are they really failed? league could've rigged the tests, paid off the tester, who knows how deep the rabbit hole goes.............just kidding haha

I'm pretty sure all of the Cowboys drug suspensions are legit.

I find it hard to believe that other team's stars failed tests have been tossed aside. But anything is possible with this NY regime. Steered outcomes have been clear to me since 2007, especially when the Cowboys are in close, high stakes ballgames. We will not and do not get breaks, with the lone exception of the Hitchens PI that was picked up (rightfully btw) and seemed to be a call we got around the league.

This was probably only so the league could job us the following week after soaking up all the TV revenue it could from having Dallas in the postseason. We got too close to the whole enchilada for everyone in NY's comfort.

+1

However I do suspect other players have tested positive and gotten away with it including possibly other Cowboys. I think the NFL only suspends the habitual abusers.

If we're having a serious discussion, it makes no sense for the NFL to conspire against Dallas. Our playoff game against GB last season was the highest rated non-SB game in the history of Fox Sports and the highest rated non-SB in the NFL in 25 years. Last year 8 of the top 10 most viewed games involved Dallas. Cowboys merchandise sales account for 15% of all NFL merchandise revenue, nobody else is over 8%.

We are the straw that stirs the drink. A Cowboys/Patriots Super Bowl would have been the most viewed television program, sports or otherwise, in the history of mankind. It's in the NFL's best interest we succeed.

No doubt but I'm guessing the op is saying are other, also legit failures on other teams NOT observed so to speak. Leniency on some others but never on ours?

Not sure I'm quite to that level of suspicion yet, but closing in lol

I think the drugs are probably legit, but I will agree with the notion that this past month has given more credence to the theory that the last two playoff games had some sketchy calls.

This is where my level of suspicion is. I really do think the Dez no catch at least was obvious corruption. It was declared a catch on the field and reversed? Whatever.

What's the motive?

Dallas is the best product the NFL has, Jerry is generally well liked by most owners and we don't cheat (looking at you, New England).

It just makes no sense. The NFL should be conspiring against the Jaguars and Chargers.

The only one we know (besides Josh Brown) is that Le'veon Bell failed to show up for a drug test with the excuse he changed cell phone numbers. He had his punishment reduced and it won't be held as a strike against him, as if it did not happen.

Randy Gregory on the other hand failed to show up for a drug test because he was in drug rehab and he got the full punishment and strike.

Is the NFL heavy-handed when it comes to the Cowboys? Possibly.

Are they rigging drug tests? Absolutely not.

The common denominator you are looking for is Jerry Jones' laissez faire leadership style, not some league-wide conspiracy.

You don't think billionaire owners with huge egos might not be a tiny bit jealous of all the fame and money Jerry makes even when the Boys product on the field is meh at best? I'm sure there are quite a few owners who would take a little less money just to show up the hick from Arkansas.

None. The NFL uses a Press Your Luck game to determine pass / fail on drug tests.

BIG BUCKS BIG BUCKS NO WHAMMIES STOP!

I think this is right, but it seems like there probably are some whammies, though.

The Cowboys are the biggest jewel in the NFL's crown. However when you're talking billions in revenue without the Cowboys as a centerpiece attraction- what difference does it make to screw them in retrospect? Especially when another billionaire who has installed you in your workplace desires an outcome unfavorable to Dallas and its fans?.

It's the equivalent of removing sand from a sandbox. As long as there's enough sand to build the castle- who cares about the rest of it?

I doubt the league will sweep a failed drif test under the rug. If anything the media will reports our and ignore other teams.
