Start playing at age 5, peewee, middle school, high-school. 8 men football, deaf national champion. 2nd team all American deaf team. Play nose guard and tackle. 46 sacks thru high-school, esp 8 sacks vs colorado deaf.. 3 int, until my knee ruined last game of senior. Even though I was so skinny in high-school and grow bigger after graduation........ now Play some flag football but not great. Able to go far as my knee allow

I am curious and mods feel free to move it or delete it. I think we have varying levels of fans here how many of you actually football and to what level . I’ll start
I played freshman year ( bench warmer) I was small in high school it wasn’t for me I was more into bball and I grew a lot from 11 grade to my military years.

i officiated every level from pee wee to Friday night lights. Next if you wish

Played a year of D1 QB as a 3rd stringer. Was great in high school but had zero work ethic at the time. Live and you learn.

Technically I played "college football." But it was community college and it was a class offered for PE credit. In my best game, I threw for 260 yards and 4 TDs (3 picks too).

I was a back-up Qb...... we'd have been state champs if coach had put me in.

Any of you looked into time travel?

I have.. but not seriously until I was too old for it to do me any good. But can you imagine being in your 20s and playing against high school kids? Like that one guy who played for Texas did? Dude legit faked his way into high school and then obviously dominated so much that he ended up getting a full ride to Texas... and probably would have gotten drafted till somebody outed him.

Tried basketball at the rec one year and realized I truly sucked at it (white man can't jump syndrome, lol). Played soccer one year and that didn't stick either. Began playing football at the rec in the 4th grade. First year I played OL, wasn't very good (too small). Second year I played TE, couldn't catch worth a darn. 6th grade, coach put me in at linebacker and that was my ticket. By 8th grade (middle school) I was def capt. I loved hitting people. Highschool was football, wrestling and baseball. I was ok in both wrestling and baseball, but football was my favorite. Smallest linebacker we had on the varsity team and I was still def capt. I remember trying to bulk up for football only to trim down for wrestling. Loved playing sports and it kept me out of trouble. Joined the Army straight out of highschool and gave it 23 years. Playing sports and joining the service were two of the best decisions I ever made in my life. Never played team sports again until softball in my later years. I even had to give that up a few years back. Now it is just the occasional round of golf. Great memories, thanks to the OP for this thread!
