That isn't necessarily pie-in-the sky. I could see a scenario where that plays out.

I think it was Mickey that said that Adams is very dissappointed and wants to play...

Perhaps next year he will come back with a renewed fire under his arse and return to his probowl status of two years ago...

One can only hope. However I still think that we could use at least two young linemen in the draft maybe more. So many young good tackles this year, i'd hate for us to miss out on all of them, even if it means getting one in the 2nd.

Flozell's coming back, so we don't need a LT. Allen's having a good year and seems revitalized. We just paid Rivera the big bucks. AL is solid, despite his detractors on this board.

So, who do we replace? We clearly need an upgrade -- so where?

I think RT is the most obvious spot.
I'd also bring in some more competition at guard. Its time to press Rivera and Allen into being VERY GOOD olinemen or just high-paid second-stringers.

What do you think?

I think we draft for depth, FLo and Allen aren't getting any younger, and since rookie OTs take some time to acclimate themselves to the pro game, it would be wise to draft an OT in the 1st this year, then give them a couple years behind Flozell to learn the game, and hit the weights in that time too

Can Peterman snap?

Also, what are the odds of Petitti moving to the left, where he played his entire collegiate career? Flo could come back and play on the right, where he wouldn't be as much of a liability vs. the rush.

We're going to add a cheap backup G/T type in the offseason, to compete with Noll and Gurode and Columbo and whoever else we've got on the roster behind the starters. But I don't think we'll see any great shakes on the OL this off-season.

I'd like to see one more WR added. Keyshawn and Glenn can't play forever, and Crayton's the only other guy who's a sure thing as a future starter. We're obviously set with Witten, Jones and Barber. We could stand to upgrade at FB. A Lorenzo Neal/William Henderson type would help this offense a lot.

And I don't think we're quite settled at Safety yet.
