You know he only had 2 catches in the superbowl.
Seeing as he re-injured himself just days before the SB, I dont see your argument. During the whole game, he had no explosion off the line and was double covered on most plays. He'd have to be 100% to outrun that coverage consistently and he wasn't.

That being said, Plaxico is not elite. The only thing I really like about him is, much like Moss, he has the height to dictate mismatches with the jump ball, particularly in the end zone. And he's tough.

Owens, Moss, Harrison, Wayne, Smith, Johnson, Fitz>>>>>Burress

Dont get me wrong, I admire the season he had being hurt and not practicing til week #17. He's a very good receiver and, but not a great receiver.

The Giants got to the Super Bowl and won it by having a few breaks go their way. I'd rather get there winning by 20 points in every game along the way.

The Giants got there mainly by the play of their defense. Their offense had very little to do with their run.

Remember, it was the Giant defense that shut down the Top 3 NFL offenses in New England, Dallas and Green Bay.

Their offense barely scored enough points to win and they would have lost if not for the play of their defense.
