True, but again, Tampa’s Oline is in worse shape than ours and they have a very immobile QB. We should have a few sacks ourselves.

We have a good pass rush. Against a normal pocket passer we should have 4-6 sacks. Brady doesn’t hold the ball, so cut that in half (2-3). One or two of those will be called roughing, so inevitably, that single sack, forcing a third quarter punt, will have minimal impact. Something like that. But MAYBE, our D will surprise.

Dak, who holds the ball longer, should get sacked 4-6 times. Because we’ll try to run more, utilize the TEs more, and have Dak roll out more, cut that in half (2-3). Add a few OL holding flags, maybe a Tampa fumble recovery or INT, and those 4-6 sacks will have a major impact.

If we lose by one point, ‘headforthemountains’ and ‘fathercanine’ will be giddy with snark, and all those integrity-filled “journalists” will have a week’s worth of fresh click$.

To the Eeyores, I’m a Homer, a Pom Pom, a Kool Aid drinkin’ excuse maker—naively optimistic, but I actually have a lot of negative crap in my outlook. I’m constantly reading that we are the laughingstock of the league, had the worst offseason of any team, and are doomed to 8-9 or worse. We have fools in the FO, the 32nd best GM, a fat puppet HC, a deteriorating OL, NOONE in the WR group, an overrated D, and the worst culture in football. Of course, some of that’s tempered by playing in the NFL’s worst division, with the NFL’s “easiest” schedule, so all is not lost, right?

Missed blocking assignments on running plays due to having Smith practice at Guard all summer is a bigger concern than sacks. And holding calls on obvious passing plays is also a concern. Sacks isn't a big concern.

I just read that Tyler Smith has a high ankle sprain. I know there are varieties of this injury, but typically it's like 2-6 weeks, right?

Because this line is essentially 1-2 decent players surrounded by USFL talent, I predict Dak to get sacked about 14 times. In addition, the last sack will snap his fibula in half ending his season..... in the first half.

Man this is going to be a clown show. If Dak get hurt behind this Oline im done with the FO. Our C, LG, and LT spots is suspect. You also moving a guy last min? If anything keep the kid at G and figure something out a C and LT.

The question is will there be more holding calls than sacks.

If Smith does start at LT, guarantee you Bowles will be in the refs ears telling them to watch Smith and his "holding".
Holding penalty is good as a sack anyway.

If Dak is roughed up in game one, he'll lose trust in his line and have happy feet all season.

You're the 3rd person that claims they are the reason I hid my posts...

I'll give Dak credit again if he plays well this year too. So, I honestly don't mind if you bring that up, because it only shows that I can be fair when deserved.

The difference in me and others is that I don't mind giving players credit when they are good and criticizing them when they are bad. It's more of a one way street with you guys which I like to call out.

Tell me, are you another poster that believes we need a dominate run game to be successful but has the nerve to say they believe in Dak at the same time?
No. I don’t believe we need a dominant run game to have the best statistical offense, and therefore, at minimum, a very good offense, because we did that.

Saying he’s really bad in most threads on this site that mention Dak than later having to begrudgingly concede to reality is no great feat imo.

I never claimed being the reason you hide your posts. I claim you hide them because you’re embarrassed about how hard you jumped on the bandwagon then later jumped off again because of how that makes you look—Indecisive, a need to please the hater crowd, not having a real opinion of your own, etc.

Why do you hide your post history?

It's hard, at best, to predict how many times Dak might be sacked in that Bucs game.

1 would be good, 2 would be bearable, 3 would be excessive but 5 would be absurd.

In view of all the problems that the Cowboys OL has been hit with, it's an ugly scene.

Considering the lingering effects of Tyler's high ankle sprain, that's a shaky situation!

All things considered, let's just say anything could happen. Hopefully it'll be tolerable.

The Bucs are going into this game with far more OL issues than we are. And that OL is still better than half the ones that will be rolled out this year in the league, and certainly better than what we had in 2011-2012.

This fanbase seems to have forgotten how awful NFL OL play is in general. Nearly a decade of good to great offensive lines has spoiled us.
