If they make a trade it's for a player they don't want to have to fight for. I don't see anything happening where we deal a premium pick ...if anything happens I think its either Joseph or Lewis getting shipped out to replenish the picks we already delt. A player for player is an option, but that normally doesn't happen much.
Lewis is on PuP and will be there for several more weeks. No one is trading for a guy who can't even practice

Jerry is aging and the Jones boys think this is their best roster in a long time. Wouldn’t surprise me if they traded high picks for a player they feel puts them over the top.
The player to put us over the top is a QB. It would more than shock me if the Cowboys did that given their love for Dak.

Trade for better offensive line depth is about only thing I see possible this late. We have good depth all over.

Save the trades for into the season to answer any unexpected injuries. More gold players available than usual in mid-season in recent years.
Our OL depth is fine, even good. Even Josh Ball has been solid and will go on IR to start the season.

Making trades this time of year must be really hard. First, every team is trying to get down to 53 players so they are probably already looking to protect certain guys. Then, everyone knows players will be cut this week so why not wait until the dust clears before making any trades? Maybe the guy you want will be out their as a free agent.

I am sure the Cowboys will try to move some players like Gallimore, Joseph and Cox, but I bet they find few takers. I mean if all they could get for Amari Cooper was a 5th and nothing for La'el Collins then its unlikely they get any offers for the guys they are shopping around. There are already reports they will part with KJ and Cox to why give up anything for guys who will be on the street in a few days?
If a team was really interested in Joseph, Cox or Gallimore, that team would probably offer a trade before the 53 man cut on Tuesday, to avoid losing them through the wavier wire process.

I'd like to see them make at least one trade for a quality OG for depth.

We have some defensive depth, especially at DT and DB. We maybe able to use a couple of these guys to make a deal. Muk, Thomas, Joseph, Wright, Butler, Goodwin, Golston, Bohanna, Galimore, Cox, Jefferson, Wheat, Land could all be expendable.
Now before y'all freak out at some of those names, I'm not saying I'm for or against trading any of these guys. I'm just saying that they could be expendable. Sometimes you may have to give up a little quality in order to get a little quality.

After that they should be able to grab a few scraps of the trash heaps. RB and/or LB are most likely pick ups.

If there is a trade tomorrow, it will involve a linebacker...

For this team, no matter how many safeties are kept...three on roster is no where going to do the job for linebacker. No way it can and be honest with the problem.

That leaves LVE, Damon Clark, and Devin Harper. Two more are currently on roster, Cox and Jefferson. Those being taken to the practice squad will not handle the job.

It took him six or seven months just to walk normally again. But Lewis’s rehab turned a corner quickly this summer, and now the cornerback may not have to open the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list after all. That would make him eligible to play within the first four games of the season and give the Cowboys two weeks to test whether he might even be ready to go in Week 1.

This and original 53 roster spot for a lineman to place on IR may push a trade or retention for a linebacker.

The Lance trade wore Jerry out. He does not have the stamina he used to.
so no more trades

Hopefully a bunch. Give us something else to talk about besides a QB3 who some thing is going to magically waltz into Dallas and take over the starting job from Dak. SMH.
