Other than Merideth and Perkins he may be the first player inducted without a ring or significant playoff success.

I guess I'll repeat my stock answer for every time this comes up: once Haley went in, it became the Ring of Jerry. Romo and Witten will go in together within 5 years. Rings, stats, years of service, etc. will not even be considered. It will strictly be at Jerry's whim.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Who makes the decision? Jerry?

Danny White deserves to go to the Ring of Honor before Romo.

Witten first and absolutely, been one of the best at his position for a long time.

Romo (I love the guy) needs to win something.

I'm likely in the minority but no players should get in the Cowboys ROH unless they have won a SB

We're not the Eagles or Titans or Jags

We're the Dallas Cowboys

Meh, it's a team sport and the fact of the matter is this Romo has been one of the best players on the team during the sad Jerry Era. He's been arguably one of the most fun to watch as anyone, minus the lack of post-season success.

It's not his fault the GM is a drunk gambler who decided to switch defenses schemes back and forth on a whim and start a Head Coach Intern program in Tony's prime years.

Romo will be in the ROH regardless if he wins a Super Bowl or not.

He's an UFA who did everything right. Yes he had his growing pains, but the man SCREAMS team player and Dallas Cowboy. He patiently waited for his opportunity. He's been our QB for a decade, the face of the franchise, a coach, a mentor, and a fan favorite. Not to mention multiple team records at the position. He's shown grit playing with multiple injuries and has always put the team first. He's dazzled the crowd with his ability to evade pressure. He's a 4 time Pro Bowler and has 30 come from behind victories. He has a 97.1 Passer Rating far surmounting the likes of Aikman, White or even Staubach. He's 2 - 4 in the playoffs after we got jacked on the Dez catch but one man does not make a team. Left a lot out and there's more to be written but it's a no-brainer that he goes in the ROH at some point. Difficult to say when because I believe there are others who deserve to go in before him.

White was 28 years old at the time he took over and led the Cowboys to three straight appearances in the NFC title game in his first three seasons as the starting quarterback. All three games were on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and the Washington Commanders.

On the other hand, Romo is now 29 years old and has been the starting quarterback for almost three full seasons in Dallas.
He has yet to win a playoff game.
That includes the 2007 season when his team went 13-3 and had home field advantage. Nevertheless, they lost in the Divisional playoff game to the New York Giants.

Lol.. What has Cowboys football been in the past two decades without Romo as our starting QB? He has kept us away from that hellhole, and I will forever be grateful for that.

The Cowboys are 14 games over 500 since Romo to the lead in 06. we have been to the playoffs 4 times in 10 years with 2 playoff wins, to me that's a hellhole. 10 years 2 playoff wins! unacceptable!!

We're you in a cave when Romo led a comeback win against Detroit?

The Fedora by Landry; the mirror, straw, and powder by Irvin, the face of Romo with two hands around his neck will sum up #9.

Who's with me? :D

Witten for sure
Romo I say maybe. Really not sure what Romo has done for this franchise but get PAIDDDDDDD. Yes he put up great stats but no big playoff victories. To me Romo is Danny White 2.0

Like others has mentioned, I value wins over stats and as the starting QB of America team with the resources we have, Romo should have a ring or a bunch of playoff wins.

Danny should be there. He was a great QB with a team that was getting old.
