How much better can Jaylon Smith get?

Love to have a couple of all pro LB tandem with him and LVE!

Give me a top 5 defense and a stout running offense and let’s win some playoff/ Super Bowls!!!

What does Dr. Dan Cooper think? He’s the one who performed Jaylon’s surgery and correctly predicted he would make a complete recovery.

No he didn’t. He felt like there was a high likelihood he would recover. Doctors never predict absolutes they think in percentages.

That’s a prediction by definition. It’s interchangeable with prognosis, although the latter is preferred when dealing with medicine as opposed to other things such as weather.

Prognosis definition: “A forecast of the likely course of a disease or ailment.”

Prediction definition: “A thing predicted; a forecast.”

Thankfully Dr. Cooper’s prediction was correct. Jaylon appears to have made a full recovery.

I still think he's a bit shakey on plays coming right at him in the open field. That may be in an issue with confidence in the past injury that will resolve itself.
Or it could be laws of physics.
320lb Offensive lineman pulling is not something any 240 lb LBer is going to run through.
Ray Lewis couldn’t run through these guys. At this level you are going to do nothing but get yourself hurt doing that.

I'm not talking about taking o-linemen.

His rookie year didn't "accrue a season" due to NFI, so just look at it as this is his "2nd year" with the team just like Chido, Taco, Lewis, etc. In short, he's not going anywhere for awhile.
Mmmmm pretty sure this is incorrect.

It is correct. Jaylon will become a RFA after 4 years. He would have been a UFA after 4 years if not for the injury the first year.

So the cowboys will get another year of him on a cheap contract with a RFA tag. Unless they choose to extend him long term.

I think you missed the point he was making. He was saying that Dr. Cooper didn't state Jaylon would make a full recovery, but that he probably would.

Yes, I understand. But my point is that a prediction is not an absolute. It’s simply a forecast or best estimate. So when Dr. Cooper predicted that Jaylon would make a full recovery he wasn’t saying in effect “I promise he will make a full recovery”, but rather “I think it’s more likely than not he will make a full recivery”.

Predictions by their very nature imply a degree of uncertainty. Not all predictions are right. At least mine aren’t haha.

I see what you're saying.

Like my old coach said....”unless you score 2 touchdowns on one play then you got plenty work to do”

Since jaylon is on defense.....until he can get 2 interceptions on one play hes got work to do
